WWE Smackdown Results - February 19, 2021

WWE Smackdown Results – February 19 – We’re live from the ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, as the men’s Royal Rumble winner, Edge, makes his way to the ring.

Edge says it is good to be back on Smackdown heading into Elimination Chamber. Edge says he has a lot of decisions to make on Sunday. You have Drew McIntyre defending the title in the Elimination Chamber while Roman Reigns is defending the title at Elimination Chamber. Roman made the better decision since Drew can lose his title in the chamber while Roman gets to face someone who survived the Elimination Chamber. Edge says he has thirteen possible opponents so he needs to figure out his options.

Roman Reigns’ music interrupts and he stands on the stage with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso. Roman takes his time to get to the ring and then enter the ring. Paul hands Roman the mic and Roman listens to the ‘crowd’ booing him and telling him he sucks.

Roman says you don’t have 13 to choose from because there is only one.  The one is a four time, coulda been a five time, shoulda been a six time Wrestlemania main eventer.  You can pick a main eventer or you can pick THE Main Eventer.

Edge says he heard what Roman said about seeing fear in his eyes, but you were seeing a man playing you like a fiddle.  I cannot address you as the main eventer at Wrestlemania.  You lost your cool.  You need me to be the main event of Wrestlemania.  Whoever walks out of the chamber as champion is your main event.  I look in your eyes and I see you are insecure.

I will acknowledge that I see a man firing on all cylinders.  I respect you and your family, but you got too much too soon.  There is pressure on you and I haven’t applied any on you.  I can show the dents in your armor. Is that what you want?  Why don’t you answer me.

Sami Zayn’s music plays and he comes out with his camera crew.  It is one thing to be disrespected by management but then to be disrespected by two of the biggest stars.  Edge, you talk like it is a foregone conclusion that Roman will be your opponent at Wrestlemania.  Sami says Roman is afraid of what is standing in front of him.

I made my way into the Elimination Chamber and now you are looking at the master manipulator.  Roman, you are looking at the champion of the people.  Sami wants his camera crew to get this moment on film.  Sami wants them to film him pointing at the Wrestlemania sign.  Sami is going to Wres… Jey super kicks Sami.

Roman and Edge stare each other down as Roman gives Paul the title belt. Roman puts his hands behind his back and he says something to Edge that we cannot hear. Reigns then backs off and nods, showing Edge he’s stepping to him and away from him in peace. We have no idea what Reigns said to Edge.

Big E yells at Crews. Crews stares him down and grabs half of the steel steps. Big E yells at him to put the steps down as Crews goes to use them on Nakamura. Big E tells Crews to put the steps down and walk away because this is over. Crews drops them and turns to walk away. Big E and a referee tend to Nakamura now. Crews picks the steps back up and rams them into Big E’s back, knocking he and Nakamura down at ringside. Fans boo louder. Crews kneels down at Big E and talks some trash. Crews tosses the steps into the ring now while a referee checks on Big E, who is hurt on the ground. Crews kicks him and brings him in the ring, warning the referee to stay back. Crews lifts the steps but Big E rolls back to the floor. The referee tells Crews to put the steps back down. Crews walks off, steps high in the air above his head. Crews simply drops the steps over the top rope, to the ground at ringside. They apparently land right on Big E. The boos get louder now. Medics rush down with a stretcher and start tending to Big E as we go back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back with Big E being stretchered out and Seth Rollins is going to make his way to the ring.

Rollins says that is a tragedy.  Big E was betrayed by his friends and that is a tragedy.  Seth says he knows something about that.  Every one of his ‘so called’ ‘friends’ turned their backs on him and betrayed him.  If you don’t believe that is a tragedy, watch the footage and the proof.

Seth says that was emotional trauma.  Seth says he is still suffering and it is unacceptable at the workplace and anywhere.  Myself and my lawyers drafted a formal complaint letter and it has been sent to WWE.  We are initiating legal action and we will win.

As I stated in my letter, months and months and months went into planning his big return to Smackdown.  It was ruined, not by my friends, but by a bunch of losers.  They ruined it because they are afraid.  They want to divide us.  They know that there are millions and millions who have the vision for a better tomorrow and a better Smackdown.  We are powerful and we are winners.  The biggest loser of them all is Cesaro.  He took OUR moment and OUR homecoming and in that moment, he made it about him.  Cesaro disrespected us and patronized up.  He stayed behind after everyone else left and he disrespected us.  What happened to him is what he deserved.

That will be the result if you stand in our way.

Kevin Owens is in the back and Edge stops by to say hello.  Edge says he appreciates how Kevin gets back up after being knocked down. Kevin says Edge is one of the few who would be able to understand him.  You were focusing and obsessing on getting back for the Royal Rumble.  Kevin says it has been hell because I have been preparing for the Universal Title but I have come up short three times.  All I can think of is winning on Sunday and beating Roman for the Universal Title.

Edge is in the back and Baron Corbin stops by and he says this feels like the main event of Wrestlemania.  Corbin says that he knows Edge made his name on Smackdown but this is his kingdom now.  When you see someone walking around wearing a $10,000 suit and a $39,000 timepiece, you bow down. Edge says he has a timepiece too and it takes pictures too.

We go to commercial.

“Ding Dong, Hello!”

Back from the break and the door bell rings as Bayley steps through the front door of her “Ding Dong, Hello!” set. She welcomes everyone to the second episode of her talk show segment. She knocks Michael Cole and then says she has two big guests tonight – WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler.

The door bell rings again and Bayley opens the door. Jax and Baszler are there. They come through the door but don’t want to sit. They end up taking shots at Bianca Belair and SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks while Bayley laughs and listens. Reginald The Sommelier comes out with a mic to interrupt. He can’t let them slander the good name of Banks. He says she’s like a bottle of fine wine while they’re like boxed wine. Reginald enters the ring and Bayley wants him to use her front door but Jax gets in his face, as does Baszler. They talk some trash to Reginald but the music interrupts and out comes Banks to a pop.

Banks gets in Reginald’s face and says he never speaks for her. For Jax and Baszler, whether they like it or not she is The Boss, and the title means she makes the rules. She goes on and says the women’s division revolves around her. Jax laughs. The music interrupts and out comes Belair. She has words for Reginald as she enters the ring. Belair then tells Banks that she is the star of the division because she won the Royal Rumble and people don’t revolve around her, they get beat by her. It looks like Belair is about to pick her WrestleMania opponent but Reginald interrupts and says they all three are on the same team, and should be going against Jax, Baszler and Bayley. Reginald proposes a match. Jax is upset now. She starts yelling at Reginald. Baszler, Banks and Belair get in on the yelling while Bayley readies for a match. We go to commercial.

Bianca and Sasha with a double drop kick and Reginald gets the three count.

Winners:  Reginald, Sasha Banks, and Bianca Belair

Kayla Braxton is in the back with Cesaro. Cesaro is asked about the six man tag match as well as the comments made by Seth Rollins.  Cesaro says Seth thinks he was patronizing him, but Cesaro was listening to him.  He was hoping for a new Seth Rollins with all of the potential he has.  He could have come back to be the leader he could be, but he came back as the same smug, condescending person he was before.  Cesaro says he will get back at Seth, but that is not what he is focusing on now.  He is going to win tonight and then win in the Elimination Chamber and then beat Roman Reigns.

Edge stops by and he says that Cesaro is one of the few people who have grit.  Cesaro says he knows what is next after he wins at the Elimination Chamber.  He will see Edge in the main event of Wrestlemania. Back to commercial.

Daniel Bryan is in the back and Edge shows up.  Edge says he wanted to thank Daniel for fighting to get his career back and that made him think that he could too.  Daniel says if Edge wants to express his gratitude, he wants to make Edge’s decision easier.  If I win the Elimination Chamber Match and beat Roman Reigns, how about you choose me as your opponent at Wrestlemania.  Edge says some call it a dream match and Daniel says some could call it long overdue.

We go to commercial.

— We are back and Dominik checks on Rey and helps him up. After seeing the highlights, we see Rey still being helped up the ramp.

Daniel Bryan and Cesaro are talking and Kevin Owens shows up and wants to talk strategy.  Daniel says they were talking about not being given stunners.  Cesaro and Bryan run through all of the people Owens turned on.  Kevin says he understands their comments and he says last week, he thought they were coming for him.  Kevin says they don’t have to worry about that tonight because they are a team tonight.  Sunday, he will have to worry about a stunner or two or three.

Carmella is in the back and Reginald shows up and Carmella asks what took him so long to get her this wine.  Reginald says he was waiting for the proper temperature and Carmella asks if they are going to play games.  Carmella says she saw him out there. Carmella says she is not mad and she knows Reginald will do the right thing.  If you don’t, let’s hope it doesn’t get to that. Carmella spits out the wine and wants to know if this is what he is serving her.

— We are told that Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair, for not pinning either of the tag team champions will get to face the tag team champions on Sunday for the Tag Titles. Apparently they forgot Lana & Naomi are the #1 contenders…
