Xia Li Returns To NXT With New Look – After months of hard training and a lot of bizarre vignettes, Xia Li faced off against Catrina Cortez during tonight’s New Year’s Evil pay-per-view, and alongside displaying a transformed look. As seen below, Li was also joined by a mysterious figure on a throne.
In a quick match against Cortez, Li dominated, absolutely taking down Cortez at any given opportunity. Things ended when Li landed a huge cyclone kick on Cortez, knocking her out and giving Li a relatively easy win. After the match, though, the cameras began following Li up the ramp, revealing her mysterious friend who was seated at a throne, covered in smoke.
