Plans For 2021 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony – As you well aware of, the 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony ended up getting postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Obviously, WWE wasn’t able to hold WrestleMania 36 as planned and haven’t had fans in attendance for any shows since last March. Throughout last year, WWE had looked at different ways to hold the ceremony and even had an idea of holding it on SummerSlam weekend as at the time, WWE had wanted fans in attendance for that pay-per-view event.
We noted last August that the plan is to induct the 2020 class as the class of 2021 during WrestleMania 37 weekend.
Dave Meltzer reports that the latest plan is that they will hold a 2021 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, but not in the traditional way. Instead, they will do it virtually.
“They’re going to announce more activities. The plan is to do a Hall of Fame, the last I heard, like virtually without fans, but that could change. That might be tough.”
The 2020 class was to include Batista, John “Bradshaw” Layfield, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith, Jushin “Thunder” Liger, The Bella Twins, and The nWo (Hollywood Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean “Syxx” Waltman).
WWE confirmed on Saturday that WrestleMania 37 will take place on April 10th and 11th with fans in attendance from Tampa, Florida.
