Impact Wrestling Results – January 12, 2021 – This week’s Hard To Kill PPV go-home edition of Impact Wresting on AXS TV opened with a look back at Ken Shamrock and Sami Callihan’s attack and the unity of the former Bullet Club members on AEW.
Taya with Rosemary vs. Kimber Lee with Deonna Purrazzo
They charged at each other with Lee battling Taya down and working her over in the corner with chops. She tossed Taya across the ring by her hair but was kicked off when she went for a charge. Taya rained down with punches and kicked Lee down before drilling her with a hard chop across the chest.
Taya controlled the ring and scored with knee strikes and kicks. Lee powdered out to the floor. Taya went for a dive but was nailed when she hit the ropes. Lee worked her over with right hands and nailed a suplex for a two count. Lee tried up Taya on the mat with her legs, trying to force a submission while wearing her down. She rolled Taya into a series of pinfall combinations but was unable to score the pinfall. She snapmared Taya over and cinched in a side chinlock. Taya elbowed her way out.
Lee nailed a series of chops in the corner and drilled Taya with a kick across the back for a two count. Lee continued to beat Taya across the back as the former Knockouts Champion tried to fight from underneath. Lee nailed a sideslam and climbed to the ropes for a swanton bomb, only to have Taya pull her knees up as she came off the ropes.
Taya fought to recover and gained control. She placed Lee in a bow and arrow and smashed Lee down face-first. Deonna distracted Taya, allowing Lee to nail a back suplex for a two count. Taya came back to send Lee into the corner and nailed a Meteroa in the corner She covered Lee but Deonna placed Lee’s foot on the ropes. Rosemary went after Deonna and grabbed her but Susan (formerly Susie) came out and attacked Rosemary, beating her down and holding her with Deonna. Taya was distracted and was rolled up and pinned.

So, we now know Susan isn’t on the same side she used to be.
On the Kenny Omega Express, the AEW Champion spoke to Don Callis, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows. Don Callis said they need victory at Hard to Kill, but they need to see the real Machine Gun tonight and a victory over Rich Swann tonight.
We went to a paid advertisement from Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone. Khan said that Impact’s top moments of 2020 were Kenny Omega and the AEW title coming to Impact and the paid advertisements bringing the company money. Schiavone ran down the lineup for New Year’s Smash Week Two.
They aired a video feature on Saturday’s Barbed Wire Massacre match.
Josh Mathews and Madison Rayne discussed the lineup for the PPV.
Chris Bey & Rohit Raju vs. X-Division Champion Manik & Suicide
Everyone brawled at the bell. Manik and Suicide were sent to the outside and went under the ring and returned behind Bey and Raju. They sent them to the floor and then hit dives to the floor..
After a commercial, Bey and Raju controlled the ring, working over Suicide. They double-teamed him for some time, tagging in and out. Bey nailed a sideslam for a two count on Suicide. Raju nailed a series of suplex but Suicide finally scored with a big overhead throw suplex into the buckles.
Manik made the hot tag and hit a bodypress into the ring on Bey. He kicked Bey into the buckles and nailed a GTS into a gutbuster. Manik nailed a pescado on Raju. Suicide and Bey battled back and forth. Raju and Bey were locked in stereo abdominal stretches. Manik scored a series of kicks to the head but was caught by Raju. Manik was drilled with a leaping knee to the head. Raju grabbed the mask to rip it off but Suicide made the save but was hit with the Ultimate Finesser by Bey and pinned.

Backstage, Taya was upset she lost to Kimber Lee. Rosemary said she will keep an eye on Susan this Saturday. She told Taya to prepare for her match this Saturday and she will come up with something when she faces Tenille Dashwood tonight.
Deaner with Eric Young & Joe Doering vs. Tommy Dreamer with Cousin Jake & Rhino.
They locked up and Deaner immediately ripped at Dreamer’s face and bit it. He kicked away on Dreamer in the corner but missed a charge and was slammed Dreamer went to rebound off the ropes but was tripped. Deaner went for a move but Rhino tripped him. Referee Brandon Tolle ejected everyone from ringside.
Deaner attacked Dreamer from behind as he watched everyone leave. They brawled. Deaner took Dreamer down to the mat by his hair and nailed a big elbow into the corner

Everyone brawled. Rhino and Doering hit the ring. Rhino was going for a spear but Doering got into his way and they brawled. Deaner hit the DDT on Jake. Young nailed a the piledriver on Dreamer.
They aired a video on the return of the Knockouts Tag Team titles.
Backstage, Neveah, Havok, Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan signed the contract for the tournament final. Steelz and Hogan began trash talking. Havok and Neveah grabbed them by the throats. Havok said that we’ll see what they have to say after they win the titles. They walked off.
Brian Myers walked in and demanded more opportunities. Josh Alexander showed up and complained that Myers beat him. D’Amore said they need to face each other and settle their differences. He walked off. Myers said he smells collusion between the Canadians and walked off.
Tenille Dashwood with Kaleb with a K vs. Rosemary.
It was all Rosemary early on as she tossed Dashwood all around the ring. Rosemary nailed a spinning sideslam for another two count. She worked over Dashwood’s back but was grabbed when she rebounded off the ropes. Rosemary grabbed him but was sprayed in the face with hairspray. Missy Hyatt would be proud.
Dashwood covered the blind Rosemary but she kicked up. Dashwood controlled the ring and tied up up Rosemary in the ropes, beating her. Rosemary fought off Dashwood but was snapped into the ropes and nailed a neckbreaker for a two count. She nailed the low crossbody block into the corner and went for a double underhook suplex. Rosemary sipped out and charged and they nailed a double clothesline on each other and crashed down. They fought to their feet and battled back and forth.
Dashwood took control and set up for the Spotlight Kick. Rosemary blocked it and nailed a clothesine. Kaleb jumped up on the apron but Crazzy Steve, her old running mate, rose up from behind and pursued Kaleb all over the place, through the ring and to the back.
Dashwood tried to use the hair spray but Rosemary grabbed it and sprayed Dashwood, then speared the blinded Dashwood for the pin.

Impact Wresting Champion Rich Swann cut a promo, saying they were going to have fun with Doc Gallows and Kenny Omega and The Machine Guns all banned at ringside, so they are going to go one on one. Anderson is going to get a preview and taste of what’s going to happen this weekend. He said when they were done, he can go back to the bus and tell the others they are going to get their asses kicked this Saturday, all night long.
They aired a video feature on The North falling apart.
TNA Champion Moose vs. Matthew Palmer
Palmer nailed several running dropkicks early with Moose egging him on after each one. Moose quickly overpowered him and sent Palmer hard into the buckles, striking him down.
Moose beat down Palmer and sent him flying across the ring with a big Beel toss. Very odd Moose being granted an Impact Title match by Rich Swann at Genesis has not been mentioned on commentary. Moose ripped at Palmer’s face and worked him over. Palmer finally nailed a big knee and then a second off the rope, dazing Moose. He went to the top for a third knee, dropping Moose down to one knee.
Palmer charged but Moose caught him with a big uranage, then a second one. Moose caught him wit several rights and began drilling him with elbows to the head. Brandon Tolle stopped the match.

Impact Wrestling Champion Rich Swann vs. Impact Wresting Tag Team Champions Karl Anderson
Kenny Omega and friends were watching via video on the bus. The Machine Guns were watching on a monitor in the back.
Some very good back and forth wrestling early. Anderson went after Swann’s shoulder and snapped it over the top rope. On the outside, he smashed it down onto the apron, then ran Swann hard into the ring post.
Swann was dumped back into the ring for a two count, then cinched in a armbar, wrenching away at the extremity. He worked over Swann for a long time. Swann tried to fight his way out and finally nailed a clothesline. Both men were down and fought to their feet. They fired back and forth with right hands and forearms. Rich fired up and nailed a neckbreaker for a two count.
Anderson went for a neckbreaker but Swann shocked him with a rollup and scored the pin.

Backstage, Omega and Gallows burst into The Machine Guns’ locker room and attacked them. Swann and Anderson hit the room and all six brawled back and forth as they went off the air.
After Impact “ended”, they aired a series of quick promos running down the lineup for Hard to Kill this Saturday. It was nice hard sell at the end.
