NXT Results - December 9, 2020

NXT Results – December 9, 2020 – We start off with a recap from Takeover War Games.

We are live from the Capitol Wrestling Centre and Prince Balor (Finn Balor) is in the ring.

Finn says War Games is done and the time for team sports is over.  Captains, factions, bragging rights . . . not interested.  It’s Wednesday and the champion is back.  Some people love me and some people hate me.  If you want to get to know me, you better come see me in this ring.  If anyone in the back…

Pete Dunne’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Pete says me and you are cut from the same cloth.  I came from overseas and made a name for myself, just like you.  It is about time we stand face to face.  I am glad that you are back, but don’t get used to it.  It is a matter of time before I put you back on the shelf and that title will be mine.

Kyle O’Reilly comes out and he apologizes for being late because his invitation seemed to be lost in the mail.  Kyle says he wanted to insert himself into the conversation.  Peter, you are a tough man and I know.  We went to war and whose arms were raised at War Games?  The Undsiputed Era.  Finn, you haven’t forgotten the man who broke your jaw and took you to the limit.  You did win the match, but you spent the last two months eating your meals through a straw and we have unfinished business.  Listen to your inner voice…

Damian Priest makes his way to the ring. Damian says he has been looking forward to this for a while.  No offense to Pete or Kyle, but Finn Balor versus Damian Priest for the NXT title is a marquee match.  It is something both of us want.

Pete tells Damian that he couldn’t even beat Leon Ruff. Priest asks Dunne if he is paid by Pat McAfee not to talk. Kyle asks Damian if he is going to win a match. Damian asks Kyle if he is going to be gone for a while. Finn Balor leaves the ring and he says at New Year’s Evil, I will be defending the title, but my opponent is up to William Regal.

Finn backs up the ramp and Karrion Kross’ music plays and Scarlett makes her way to the stage and stands next to Finn. Balor predicts she’s going to say “Tik, Tok” but she just stares. Balor tells Scarlett to give a message to Kross – when he’s ready, Finn is ready. Balor walks off as fans cheer him on.

Priest asks Scarlett if she usually tells Kross to wait in the car while she handles his business. Priest says if Kross wants to pick a fight when he comes back, he can just step to Priest like a man. Scarlett turns and stares at Priest in the ring, and smiles at him. Scarlett walks away as we see the Karrion Kross logo on the big screen. We go to commercial.

Tommaso Ciampa says he didn’t think Sunday would be an easy win.  Nobody is safe.  It is time I let the past die in the past and move forward.  I don’t know any other way.  Cameron Grimes, you sure are the squeakiest wheel.  You are loud, brash, and ignorant.  You are confident.  To be that loud, you have to be confident.  Maybe, you are just insecure.  Funny thing about insecurity is that it often disguises itself as confidence.  Tonight, we will find out.
