Kenny Omega Title Defense Set For Dec. 30, Tag Titles Announced For Next Week’s AEW Dynamite

— Kenny Omega Title Defense Set For Dec. 30 – Kenny Omega pulled double duty on tonight’s AEW Dynamite as he provided live commentary and wrestled Joey Janela in a hardcore match.

Omega essentially wrestled with one hand for much of the match as he held a microphone and narrated his entire beatdown against Janela. Also on a mic was Don Callis, who mocked Janela throughout as Omega beat his opponent with a garbage can and a cookie sheet. Omega would then put Janela in a One Winged Angel, but the indie star was able to reverse it with a hurricanrana. Janela would then put Omega through a table. However, Janela’s hope of a victory was short lived as Omega would hit a One Winged Angel and win the match.

After the match, Death Triangle came out and PAC discussed his group’s accomplishments. As a result Rey Fenix will face Omega for the belt on the Dec. 30 edition of Dynamite.

Tag Titles Announced For Next Week’s AEW Dynamite

— On next week’s AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash, AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks defend their titles against The Acclaimed. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens yet again called out the champions and AEW President Tony Khan signed a match between the two teams.

Miro also announced we will learn the date of Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford’s wedding date on next Wednesday’s show, which starts at 10 pm ET, or immediately following the NBA game that night on TNT.
