Carmella Returns to SmackDown, Attacks Sasha Banks – The SmackDown Women’s Championship match between champion Sasha Banks and Bayley kicked off this week’s episode of SmackDown.
They showed a long video package and there was a backstage interview with Bayley before the match got started so they made sure to give this match a special feel as if it was happening on pay-per-view.
There were several near falls but it was Banks who forced Bayley to submit to the Banks Statement to retain the title.
The pre-match interview with Bayley sounded like this was the final match in their story so it looks like Banks will move on to a new opponent and that new opponent is Carmella. As seen below, Mella ran out and attacked Banks on the stage area. Mella had new gear to complete her new look.
Banks vs. Carmella will likely take place at next month’s pay-per-view since Banks is scheduled to face Asuka in a champion vs. champion match at the Survivor Series.
