WWE RAW Results - August 31, 2020

We are live from the WWE Thunderdome at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL, as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring to start the show.

We take a look back at what happened last week on Raw between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre.

Tom mentions that he does not think Drew is here tonight, but he should be ready by Clash of Champions. There will be three matches with the winners meeting later tonight in a Triple Threat Match. Those matches are Keith Lee versus Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens versus Randy Orton, and Dominik Mysterio versus Seth Rollins since Rey Mysterio is not cleared to wrestle.

Randy says that Drew McIntyre offered him a rematch but did so out of pity. Randy says he felt that was disrespectful so he kicks Drew three times. Drew thinks he deserves the title but all he deserves is the broken jaw and to be in pain each and every day while drinking meals with a straw. At SummerSlam, Drew promised to kick my head off with a Claymore but the only person giving out kicks are the Legend Killer. You can ask Edge, Christian, the Big Show, Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, and Drew McIntyre himself.

Drew says he thinks I am entitled and deserve everything I have be handed. I shouldn’t have to face Kevin Owens in a singles match. I shouldn’t have to face anyone in a Triple Threat Match because I am entitled to a match at Clash of Champions. I will beat Kevin Owens, I will win the Triple Threat Match, and then I will beat Drew McIntyre at Clash of Champions. That is if Drew is healthy enough to be there. Randy says Drew got together with a couple of old buddies to reminisce and have a little bonding session over an experience they shared. That experience is the Legend Killer kicking them in the skull. Randy shows a photo of them all in a hospital.

Keith Lee‘s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Keith tells Mr. Orton that he has done well for himself. He is amused with himself and proud. He is fixated with talking about the havoc he has called over the last few months. Doing your best to forget about what happened last night at Payback. Doing your best to forget about the fact that I beat you. I understand you may be the so called Greatest Ever to lace up a boot, but it is factual that I gave you no choice but to bask in my glory.

You are out here complaining about a championship opportunity that should be handed to you. Keith tells Mr. Orton things are different because a victory like his last night over a Legend Killer like you means that I should get the opportunity at the WWE Championship. Drew, I have known him for some time and would consider him a good friend. He likes to talk about receipts and I believe that he will make good on his word and at some point…
