During tonight’s NXT opening segment, Keith Lee announced that he would be relinquishing his NXT North American Championship title.
Lee said that while he is known as being limitless, he did not want to be “limiting” to other superstars in their pursuit of glory. With that in mind, Lee announced that he would vacate the North American title, and give others the chance to accomplish their dream.
William Regal then announced that starting tonight, a series of Triple Threat matches would occur, with the winners all advancing to a Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver 30, where a new NXT North American Champion will be crowned.
