At The Horror Show at Extreme Rules, Apollo Crews was scheduled to defend the WWE United States Championship against MVP, but the champion wasn’t cleared to compete.
As noted, in his absence MVP named himself the new WWE United States Champion. Crews Tweeted a response to MVP’s actions.
“@The305MVP is trippin thinking he can claim himself the #USChampion,” wrote Crews. “I was looking forward to shutting you BOTH up once and for all tonight at #ExtremeRules but once I’m cleared .. #ImComingforwhatsmine.”
