Tuesday’s WWE TV tapings at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida reportedly have been canceled due to the positive coronavirus test in the company.
As noted on Monday night, WWE issued a statement to the media to announce that a WWE NXT developmental talent has tested positive for COVID-19.
It looks like COVID-19 testing will be taking place at the Performance Center later today, Tuesday. Bryan Alvarez wrote on Twitter that Tuesday’s tapings are being canceled so they can test everyone they need to.
This will be the first such test the company has done for everyone. They have been doing basic medical tests before allowing people into the building every day, which include temperature checks, but they have not administered company-wide coronavirus tests until now.
Regarding the positive test, WWE Backstage reporter Ryan Satin tweeted that the person is a PC developmental talent, not someone on NXT TV.
More on the site momentarily, but WWE has canceled tomorrow’s tapings to test everyone for COVID after a developmental wrestler tested positive.— Bryan Alvarez (@bryanalvarez) June 16, 2020
From what I’m told, the person who tested positive for COVID-19 in WWE was a Performance Center trainee. Not someone who is on NXT TV.— Ryan Satin (@ryansatin) June 16, 2020
