We are back and Edge makes his way to the ring. Edge says this is the first time he has been in this ring in six weeks. The last time was at his first Wrestlemania in 9 years after being medically disqualified. Some say that is a miraculous comeback but he does not believe in what ifs. He said he would retire on his terms. What is next? Edge says Wrestlemania is not the end. If you watched Raw last week, you saw the promo video that the Rated R Superstar is going to hunt the Viper. They did not talk to him about it. Edge says he got his pound of flesh and closure. Randy gave him the fight of his life. Edge says he is ready to move on.

Randy Orton interrupts. and he makes his way to the ring. Randy says he came out here to say one thing. Congratulations. At Wrestlemania, the better man won. Orton leaves the ring.

Randy returns to the ring and he says he tried to be the bigger man, congratulate you and bite my tongue but I couldn't do it. I can't lie to myself and I cannot lie to you. The better man won at Wrestlemania, but the better wrestler didn't. At the Royal Rumble, you made your miraculous return. You entered the match with the ability to hide behind 29 other Superstars. At Wrestlemania, you fought me in a Last Man Standing Match, a match you chose. There was only one rule, you had to incapacitate a man for a count of ten. I might not have gotten back up from the ten count, but it didn't take me nine years to get back up. Nine years is a long time. Randy says in his opinion, those aren't traditional wrestling matches. It hasn't been since 2011 since you laced up those boots and wrestled. Randy says he doesn't think Edge has it in him. Randy says he knows that look.

There is doubt in your eyes, but you've got grit and passion. That is what brought you back to the dance. All of your grit does not compete with his natural ability. That passion won't knock off the ring rust. There is no chance in hell your grit and passion will help you now. You went on record to say that Randy was one of the best to lace the boots. You said that I am a hall of famer. You said you would make Randy Orton a better perfomrer. The story writes itself... if you have the guts. If you've got the guts, then at Backlash, it will be Edge versus Orton in a straight up wrestling match.

Charly Caruso is in the ring now and she asks Edge if he has a response. Edge looks down and then back at Orton. Charly says if this does happen it just might be the greatest wrestling match ever. Edge is still silent. Orton is still staring at Edge while Edge looks off to the side of Orton. RAW goes off the air.
