Current Plans For NXT "Takeover: In Your House"

Current Plans For NXT "Takeover: In Your House"
Here are some news and possible matches for the upcoming "Takeover: In Your House" event coming out of tonight's NXT episode.

As noted earlier, Killer Kross vs. Tommaso Ciampa is the only official match as of this writing.

Johnny Gargano vs. NXT North American Champion Keith Lee should be confirmed soon for the upcoming "Takeover: In Your House" event.

We noted last week how Gargano and wife Candice LeRae had taken shots at Lee and real-life girlfriend Mia Yim. That feud kicked off on this week's NXT episode as Gargano and LeRae targeted Yim, taunting her after her win over Santana Garrett. Lee ended up coming out and charging the ring with Yim, which forced Gargano and LeRae to retreat. Video from that segment can be seen above. As seen below, Lee later spoke with McKenzie Mitchell and predicted a fight with Gargano at Takeover.

The first Gargano vs. Lee singles match is expected to lead to the mixed tag team match, unless they change directions and do the mixed tag match at Takeover.

A Triple Threat for the NXT Women's Title between champion Charlotte Flair, Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley is also in the plans.

Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley took each other on to close out tonight’s episode of NXT, and while both superstars continued to show why they’re some of the most dominating figures in NXT, it was Charlotte Flair who once again came out on top.

Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley took each other on to close out tonight’s episode of NXT, and while both superstars continued to show why they’re some of the most dominating figures in NXT, it was Charlotte Flair who once again came out on top.

Towards the end of the match, Flair made her way out onto the ramp, initially just looking to watch the match. However, Shirai caught Ripley in a head-scissor and threw her into Flair, knocking both superstars down. Once back in the ring, Shirai nearly came away with a win after landing a DDT on Ripley, but Flair quickly ended things by sliding into the ring and delivering a vicious kick to Shirai. After the referee called for a disqualification, Flair continued her rampage, taking down Ripley with a spear before posing above the two with her championship belt.

Damian Priest and Finn Balor have been feuding for some time. Priest showed up tonight to call out Balor, and challenge him to a match at NXT TakeOver: In Your House.

In his brief segment, Priest said that his time for a championship will come, but when Balor came back to NXT, it was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. Now, according to Priest, Balor’s name is going to turn to dust at In Your House, while Priest’s name lives on forever.

The match should be confirmed soon.

Below is the "Takeover: In Your House" line-up coming out of this week's NXT episode, along with a few more likely matches. Stay tuned for updates on the card.
