Brodie Lee on Why He Wanted To Leave WWE

Luke Harper could have been a much bigger WWE Superstar than they ever gave him the chance to become.

Now Brodie Lee is the Exalted One and headed into an AEW World Title shot on his first pay-per-view with the company.

While speaking to Busted Open Radio, Brodie Lee stated that he has a lot more pressure on him now. He has nobody to blame for not excelling. He is making his own opportunities after knowing he could be much more.

“That’s the main reason why I didn’t want to be in WWE anymore because I knew those opportunities weren’t coming. No matter how hard I scratched and clawed no matter what I proved they weren’t coming. I wasn’t one of the chosen ones.”

“Now here I am creating it myself, but now it’s like I know I’m great at professional wrestling. I know I deserve these spots. Now I have to show up and prove it to other people. So now there’s a certain pressure on me because I don’t have anyone to blame anymore. So now here I am in these spots I was in the main event last night. I’m in the main event next Saturday. The pressure is there now because now I have to prove it.”

Brodie Lee has all the confidence in the world that he can prove himself. Now he has nobody to blame for not getting the spot he deserves. This is just the beginning for Brodie Lee and there are many stories left to tell for him in AEW no matter how Double Or Nothing turns out.
