As noted erlier, it looks like there are problems brewing in Zelina Vega’s stable of Austin Theory, Angel Garza and WWE United States Champion Andrade.
WWE seems to have pulled back from the tease of splitting up Andrade and Vega but now it looks like Austin Theory could be out of the group soon.
In fact, Mike Johnson noted on PWInsider Elite that Theory was not in any long-term plans for her stable. Theory was only brought up to the main roster as a replacement with Andrade at WrestleMania but he ended up sticking around for a few more weeks after the pay-per-view.
Johnson said, “They seem to be teasing the beginning of Austin Theory getting tossed out of the group. When Austin Theory debuted at WrestleMania I was told he was not long for the group. He was there basically to help cover things up in terms of what was needed while Andrade was injured, but the long-term plan was not to keep him with Zelina Vega and friends.”
Before being called up to Raw, Vince McMahon did not know much about Theory and the suggestion to move him to Raw was made by Paul Heyman.
A couple of weeks ago, there was some talk of moving Theory back to NXT because some feel that he has the potential to be really good but he needs more ring experience away from the main roster.
