Impact Wrestling Results (3/17)

Josh Mathews and Don Callis welcome fans to a brand new episode of Impact! The first match of the night is announced.

TJP & Fallah Bahh vs. The North (c) for the Impact World Tag Team Championships

All four men square off in the center of the ring. Bahh tells The North “No, No, No.” Josh Alexander chops Bahh towards his corner. Bahh tags in TJP. TJP tries to wrap up Alexander, Alexander counters. TJP sets Alexander up with a swinging DDT, but Alexander grabs the top rope and holds on. Ethan Page is now the legal man. The North has TJP cornered. Alexander tags himself back in. TJP fights out with a forearm strike. Bahh fires up the crowd with a “TJP” chant. Page is back in and connects a backbreaker. Page positions TJP in a vertical suplex. Page tags in Alexander and the send TJP crashing on top of the canvas. Bahh comes in, but the referee does not see the tag and sends Bahh back to his corner. TJP fights back and slowly crawls over to tag in Bahh. Bahh is fired up! He goes back-and-forth, smooshing Page and Alexander’s faces with his backside. Alexander connects a forearm on Bahh. Their match will continue after the break.

Back from the break, Alexander has TJP up on the ropes and chops him. TJP tags Bahh back in. TJP lands a hard clothesline, Alexander kicks out. TJP comes back in the ring with a dropkick on Alexander. Alexander drops Bahh, Page lands a Swanton bomb. The North drives Bahh down, Alexander covers, Bahh kicks out at 2. Bahh lands a double clothesline. TJP and Bahh lock in submission holds on The North. The referee gets knocked over. Page taps out, but the ref didn’t see it. Bahh clotheslines Alexander off the top rope then lands a middle rope dive. Page counters with a roundhouse kick on Bahh, sending him to the outside. Alexander comes back in. TJP lands a tornado DDT on Alexander. The North end the match with The Northern Assault. The North retain the titles.

Winners: The North

Meanwhile, at “The Real Housewives of Slam Town,” Taya Valkyrie introduces Rosemary to her friends. Rosemary shows off her new look. Taya and her friends love her style! Rosemary starts sucking the souls out of Taya’s friends.

Chris Bey vs. Damian Drake

Bey starts the match with a side headlock on Drake. Bey sends Drake into the ropes. Bey lands a dropkick, which sends Drake to the outside. Bey flies over the top rope. Both men make their way back in the ring. Bey connects a neck breaker. Drake takes a swing towards Bey’s jaw, followed by a kick to Bey’s back. Bey catches Drake and sends him into the turnbuckles. Bey ends the match with his signature move, Bey-Mous. Bey wins his first match on Impact!

Winner: Chris Bey

After, the Impact Plus Moment of the Week is shown.

Backstage: Alisha Edwards asks Jordynne Grace if she is able to get back in the ring with her, and join her on her team at Lockdown. Though the event is postponed, Grace says that Alisha is all for her being on her team.

Back from the break, a vignette from Tenille Dashwood is shown.

Backstage: Gabby Loren interviews Chase Stevens. Moose interrupts the interview by saying he is honored to meet Bret Michaels. Stevens looks at him quizzically. Stevens doesn’t believe that Moose is “Mr. Impact.”

Next, the fourth episode of Gut Check is shown.

Backstage: Jimmy Jacobs sits down with Tessa Blanchard and asks her how it’s been since she won the Impact World Championship. Blanchard says it’s been busy for her, but she is glad that she can defend it. She says that after defending her title against both Valkyrie and Ace Austin, she’s now become a different Blanchard. She is ready for her triple threat match with Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards at Rebellion.

Cancel Culture (Joey Ryan & Rob Van Dam) (w/Katie Forbes) makes their way down to the ring. Joseph P. Ryan introduces himself and says that he, RVD and Forbes have “extraordinary gifts.” He announces that everyone has lost their privileges to see them and how they looked before. RVD criticizes the fans who are drinking beer in the audience. The Deaners make their way down to the ring.

Cancel Culture vs. The Deaners

Cousin Jake strikes Ryan with a forearm. He corners Ryan and lands multiple kicks. Ryan fights back with a jawbreaker. Ryan tags in RVD. RVD lands a big boot on Cody Deaner. Ryan is tagged back in. Deaner rolls through and tags in Jake. Jake plants Ryan down with a powerslam. Deaner comes back in. Forbes climbs up on the apron and shouts at Deaner to stop looking at her. RVD lands the five-star frog splash on Deaner and wins the match.

Winners: Cancel Culture

Backstage: Loren asks Ken Shamrock if he can fill her in as to why he’s there on Impact tonight. Shamrock informs her that Impact management called him, so he has no idea what is going to be announced.

Backstage: Willie Mack denies Ace Austin’s offer at being tag team partners.

Next, some Knockouts action!

Kiera Hogan vs. Lacey Ryan

Hogan grabs hold of Ryan and attacks her before the bell rings. After the bell rings, Ryan sends Hogan to the turnbuckles. Ryan slams Hogan down with a German suplex. Ryan goes up and over and lands right on her elbow. Hogan lands an axe kick on Ryan. Hogan corners Ryan with a foot chokehold, followed by a sliding dropkick. Hogan locks in a body scissors/sleeper hold on Ryan. Ryan climbs up and backs Hogan into the corner. Ryan fights back with a few clotheslines. Ryan connects an elbow on Hogan’s midsection. Ryan covers, Hogan kicks out at 2. Ryan misses a crossbody. Hogan with a roundhouse kick, and ends the match with a bridge pin.

Winner: Kiera Hogan

Somewhere Far Away: Su Yung finds a letter from Father James Mitchell. Mitchell believes that Yung and Havok should face each other next week in the Undead Realm.

After, “The Golden Draw,” Jake Crist makes his way down to the ring for his match against DAGA.

Jake Crist vs. DAGA

Both men lockup. Jake locks Daga’s wrist. Daga reverses. Daga with an arm drag. Jake misses three kick attempts, Daga sends Jake down with another arm drag. Jake and Daga take their fight on the apron. Jake counters with a slam on Daga’s knee. Their match will continue after the break.

Back from the break, Jake plants a side Russian leg sweep. Both men connect with double kicks then clotheslines. After, Daga takes over with several forearm strikes and a dragon leg screw. Daga slams Jake down with a sitdown powerbomb. Daga covers, Jake kicks out at 2. Jake lands multiple shots, covers, Daga kicks out. Jake connects a German suplex. Daga fires back with a suplex of his own. Jake catches Daga off the top rope with a cutter, Jake covers and Daga kicks out again. Daga ends the match with a Tiger Driver ’98. Daga wins.

Winner: DAGA

At the Venue: Security thinks they caught the hacker known as “ICU.” But did they though?

Backstage: Security informs Scott D’Amore that they found the hacker. D’Amore tells them that’s not the hacker.

Inside the ring, Josh Mathews said on 4/3 Impact will honor their legacy in Tampa with TNA: There’s No Place Like Home (canceled after their TV was put to rest). Mathews said that there’s no one who signifies TNA more than UFC Hall of Famer Ken Shamrock (Jeff Jarrett? Sting? Dixie Carter?) and introduced him. Shamrock came to the ring dressed in a nice suit. The crowd chanted for Shamrock. The last time Shamrock was seen was Hard to Kill, where he defeated Madman Fulton Shamrock said there’s no where else he’d rather be than Impact. There’s great competitors who are challenging and it’s great to be here.

Mathews asked Shamrock if he had any idea why he was asked to be here tonight. Shamrock said that the office called him and to come to the show because they wanted to do something special. He showed up as he always does and we’re all going to find out together. Mathews announced that Shamrock will be the next inductee into the Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame. He will be officially enshrined over Bound for Glory weekend. Shamrock acted shocked and excited by the announcement.

They aired a really nice video piece on Shamrock’s career. They even showed WWE footage of The Rock being tapped out by Shamrock.

They came back from the video with the hacker attacking. The lights went off and someone was in the ring. He tossed fire into Shamrock’s face. it was Sami Callihan, revealed as the hacker. SOLOMON CROWE LIVES… AND HE’S MR. ROBOT.

Impact went off the air with a doctor and officials checking on Shamrock’s well being..
