WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross appeared on Wrestling Observer Radio to promote his new book, “Under The Black Hat.”
During the interview, Ross told Dave Meltzer and Jim Valley that AEW taped a match last week between AEW World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley and Jake Hager.
He noted that he doesn’t know who won the contest or when it will air but he put over the match as being extraordinary after hearing about it.
Meltzer didn’t know that but did point out that following Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, it seemed like AEW was building towards a program with the two stars.
For the past two weeks, AEW has been taping weekly episodes of Dynamite in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place. Due to him being at high risk for the coronavirus because of his age, Ross didn’t work the taping last week.
