WWE RAW Results (2/17) - Everett, WA

We are live from the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett, WA, as Randy Orton makes his way to the ring.

During Orton’s entrance, Tom Phillips, Byron Saxton and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. They go over tonight’s show and reveal that MVP vs. Drew McIntyre has been added to the line-up.

Back in the ring, it looks like Randy has something to say, but first we get a video package recapping his recent history with Edge and Matt Hardy.

Randy says tonight he is supposed to face Matt Hardy in a No Holds Barred match, but after what happened last week, that is not going to happen. From what he understands, Matt is trying to get cleared by the doctors. After what happened last week, that is not going to happen. The Hardys are known for jumping off the highest of highs and crashing to the lowest of lows. If Matt was to face him tonight in a No Holds Barred Match…

Matt Hardy comes out wearing a neck brace and he says that instead of talking about him, talk about why you took away Edge’s second chance. Why did you smash his surgically repaired neck between two chairs. What in the hell is wrong with you Randy Orton. You didn’t want to answer his question and you made him want to feel what Edge felt. You wanted to take all of this from me. Matt says you cannot take it from him. He came here to fight Randy. To the surprise of no one, the WWE doctors won’t clear him to compete in a match tonight. Matt says he is a man of his word and he is here. Much like Edge, he has grit. Matt says he will not quit and he will not die. You can knock him and Edge down all you want but they will not die. Matt says his future will not be determined on your terms, they will be determined on your terms.

Randy says Matt should have said goodbye last week while he could still walk out of the arena on his own two feet.

Matt gets to the apron and then enters the ring.

Randy asks Matt what is he gonna do? He is a sitting duck. What would you do if I RKOed you right here where you stand. Randy tells Matt he has balls, but no one will undertand why he did what he did. Randy says he respects Matt and what he has done. Randy says he respects Edge and loves him like a brother. Randy says he is sorry. Randy drops the mic and leaves the ring.

Randy takes off his shirt at the top of the ramp while Matt Hardy gets a chair and brings it into the ring. Matt tells Randy to finish him. Randy gets on the apron and he swings and misses. Orton drops Matt throat first on the top rope. Matt gets back to his feet and Orton with an RKO. Orton crawls to the chair and Orton thinks about what to do. Orton gets the chair and hits Hardy in the back with it. Orton drives the edge of the chair into Matt’s chest. Orton hits Matt in the back with the chair.

Orton goes to the floor and he goes to get another chair for a One Man Conchairto.

Referees come to the ring to try to stop Orton as Randy takes the neck brace off Matt. Orton is ready to strike and then he stops and throws the chair to the floor. Orton leaves the ring, but he goes back to pull Matt out of the ring and drops him on the floor. Orton moves the steps and he puts Matt’s head on the steps. Orton puts the other half of the steps next to the bottom half and Orton grabs the chair and he connects with Matt’s head. Orton does not leave the ringside area but he throws the chair down.

Orton has the chair again and he puts Matt’s head back on the top of the step and Orton with another chair shot to the head. Orton yells out that he’s sorry. He walks off again and RAW goes to commercial.

– We are back with a Moments Ago Moment of what Randy Orton did to Matt Hardy.

Erick Rowan vs. Aleister Black

We go to the ring for tonight’s opening match as Erick Rowan makes his way out while Mike Rome does the introductions. Rowan is carrying his mystery pet cage again. Aleister Black is out next.

The bell rings and they go at it. Rowan strikes first. Black goes for a moonsault early on but Rowan levels him. Rowan drops Black on the outside and yells at fans in the front row as we go back to split-screen commercial.

The split screen shows Rowan dominating during the break, stopping Black with a bear hug. Black finally drops Rowan with a big kick to the head. They continue to throw big strikes after the break. Rowan catches Black in a big powerslam for a close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Rowan keeps the offense going and sends Black to the corner for more strikes as the referee warns him. Rowan takes Black back to the floor and rams him into the barrier. Rowan launches Black into the barrier once again, back of the knees-first. Black lands on the floor on the back of his head.

The referee counts as Rowan looks to powerbomb Black into the ring post. Black counters and fights out, sending Rowan into the post. Black breaks the count and runs to the second rope for a big moonsault to Rowan, also hitting the camera man a bit it appears. Black brings it back in and fights in from the apron with a boot. Black with strikes. Rowan counters but Black fights free. Black with a jumping knee strike to the face for a 2 count. Rowan catches Black Mass. Black blocks the Iron Claw with a back elbow.

The big strikes continue. Rowan levels Black with a big boot to the face. Rowan with a powerbomb in the middle of the ring for another 2 count. Rowan goes for the Iron Claw but Black slides out and nails Black Mass. Rowan goes down against the ropes. Rowan is dazed but still moving. He goes down to one knee. Black with another Black Mass to the face. Black covers for the pin to win.

Winner: Aleister Black

After the match, Black stands tall as his music hits and we go to replays. Black celebrates as we come back.

In the Arena:

We are back and Charlotte Flair makes her way to the ring. Charlotte says last night she was in Portland at Takeover and she wants us to see what she did there.

Charlotte says she wanted to see who was filling Rhea Ripley’s head with the thought that she could come to Raw and challenge the queen. Charlotte says she was impressed and then she started to reminisce. She remembered training in a warehouse and the growing pains. She says she thought about how her class built the brand that is NXT. She talks about the entitlement. It is about women like Rhea Ripley who did not claw and scratch to get NXT to where it is now. Rhea, you have the audacity to step in her ring on her show and hold up the title that she put on the map. Charlotte says she thinks Rhea is good but pride comes before the fall and she will humble Rhea at Wrestlemania. Everyone is the next big thing, until they’re not. We go to commercial as Charlotte wooos.

R Truth vs. Mojo Rawley vs. Riddick Moss for the 24/7 Championship

Truth with a rollup on Mojo. Truth with a jumping leg lariat to Mojo but Moss sends Truth into the turnbuckles. Moss with kicks and he gets a near fall. Mojo sends Riddick into the ringside barrier. Mojo and Truth exchange punches. Truth with flying shoulder tackles followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb. Truth goes for the five knuckle shuffle and hits it. Truth goes for an Attitude Adjustment but Mojo escapes and he sends Truth face first into the mat. Moss with a rollup on Mojo for the three count.

Winner: Riddick Moss

After the match, Mojo yells at Truth and Truth with a kick and scissors kick to Mojo. Back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Mike Rome introduces the man who won the Royal Rumble and will Main Event WrestleMania: Drew McIntyre!

Drew says the crowd is fired up and that means only one thing, 48 days to Wrestlemania. Drew says he has to point to the sign because he said the magic word. Drew says that he has to do it bigger since Charlotte already did it. He tells everyone to join him for the point at the sign. Drew says these days Suplex City is located in Claymore Country. Come Wrestlemania, they are invading Suplex City and demolishing that bitch to the ground as he becomes the WWE Champion.

Paul Heyman interrupts Drew and makes his way to the stage. Paul asks if you want the evening to get bigger, he gives you the biggest, the WWE Champion BROCK LESNAR!

Paul asks Drew if he thought Brock was here tonight, did you? Paul says he wanted you and the entire WWE Universe to know what it will sound like after they say ‘AND STILL’ after Brock Lesnar defeats Ricochet at Super Showdown and then he pins you at, as Paul points at the sign, Wrestlemania.

Drew tells Paul to wait there. You can say Brock’s name over and over. You can say it anywhere. You can say it when Drew kicks his head off and takes the WWE Championship from him.

Paul says he has profound respect for Drew. He says he did not come here to debate Drew. He is a huge admirer of your talents. Paul says he knows someone who is not an admirer of yours. It is your opponent tonight.

MVP tells Drew Mr. Heyman might not have an issue with you, but he does. As an old friend, he invited Drew to the VIP Lounge. He treated Drew with the respect of an elite level VIP. He thought we were friends, but how did you repay him? Drew says he knows this one, he kicked MVP’s head off. MVP asks Drew if he thinks he is Billy Connolly. He says it was a cheap shot and he will kick his ass.

Drew McIntyre vs. Montel Vontavious Porter

MVP hits Drew with the mic before the bell rings and then he hits a Yakuza kick.

The bell rings and Drew with a kick to the head. Drew rips off the breathe right strip and punches MVP in the corner. Drew with an Irish whip and MVP with an elbow. Drew with a Future Shock DDT and then he looks around to set up for the Claymore.

Winner: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew stands tall as his music hits. Heyman is already nowhere to be seen. We go to replays. Drew poses in the corner and points up at the WrestleMania 36 banner.

– We take a look back to last week’s Women’s Title Match and what happened after the match with Shayna Baszler.

In the Arena:

Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Back from the break and Lynch is in the ring with the title as some fans chant her name. She talks about coming to WWE for fame and fortune. She brings a bunch of paper money out of the bag and says this is her paying the fine for what she will do when she cross paths with Shayna Baszler. Becky says this is a down payment on violence. She tells WWE to go ahead and take all her money because bad things will happen when she sees Baszler. Becky goes on with the trash talking until Baszler appears on the big screen.

Baszler taunts Becky and talks about how she’s going to win the Elimination Chamber match to earn the title shot from Becky. Baszler goes on and says she’s going to tear the living s–t out of Lynch. Becky says she will be watching Elimination Chamber closely and will be rooting for Baszler. Becky tosses the mic and makes her exit as the music hits, raising the title in the air.

Backstage:

We see Lana and Bobby Lashley backstage warming up with Zelina Vega and Angel Garza. Charly Caruso approaches for comments. Lana takes credit for coming up with tonight’s tag team match and says it’s like a Monday Night Date as two of WWE’s hottest couples will go against two of WWE’s biggest losers. Vega corrects Lana and says she’s not a couple with Garza. This is all about business, about money. Garza flirts some with Vega and they walk off.

– We go to the ring and out comes Rusev. Back to commercial.

Angel Garza and Bobby Lashley vs. Rusev and Humberto Carrillo

We see Humberto Carrillo make his entrance during the break, followed by Angel Garza with Zelina Vega. Back from the break and out comes Bobby Lashley with Lana. We see recent happenings between Carrillo, Vega, Garza and Rey Mysterio. Carrillo starts off with Lashley now. They lock up and Lashley overpowers into the corner. Carrillo goes under Lashley and kicks him. Carrillo gets rocked and caught in mid-air. Carrillo fights out of a move with an elbow but Lashley knocks him out of the air with a shoulder. Rusev tries to get involved but Lashley takes Carrillo to the corner and sends him down. Garza tags in and keeps Carrillo by his arm. Carrillo gets free but Garza chops him. Carrillo ends up hitting a big crossbody out of the corner.

Carrillo trades more shots with his cousin now. Rusev tags in for the double team as Rusev knocks Lashley off the apron. Carrillo sends his cousin across the ring. Carrillo counters again but Garza follows up with a big dropkick. Garza snatches his pants off and tosses them at Rusev. Garza goes to the floor and lets a fan kiss him. This leads to Garza turning back around to a big suicide dive from Carrillo. We go back to commercial.

Back from the break and Garza kicks Carrillo in the back as Lana and Vega watch from the floor. Lashley tags in and keeps Carrillo grounded. Carrillo looks to turn it around but Lashley swings and misses. Rusev finally gets the tag. Rusev unloads as Garza comes in. Rusev also drops Lashley on the apron. Rusev with a big overhead suplex to Garza, and another. Rusev covers for a 2 count as Lashley breaks it up.

Rusev unloads on Lashley in the corner now. Garza rolls Rusev up from behind. They tangle and Garza drops Rusev with a superkick as Carrillo makes the save. Carrillo and Garza go at it now. Garza leaps out and takes Garza down on the floor. Lashley comes with a big Spear to Garza on the floor. Lashley turns around to Rusev leveling him on the floor. Fans pop and chant “Rusev Day!” as Rusev brings Garza back in. Lashley interferes, allowing Garza to kick Rusev. Garza climbs up but Rusev sends him to the mat. Rusev with a flying headbutt for a close 2 count as Garza kicks out.

Rusev stomps Garza and calls for The Accolade. Rusev stomps on his back but he avoids the submission. Rusev with a big kick. They tangle some more. Rusev knocks Lashley off the apron with a Machka Kick. Garza takes advantage and rolls Rusev up with a handful of tights to get the win.

Winners: Angel Garza and Bobby Lashley

After the match, Garza and Lashley stand tall. Rusev attacks Garza from behind and sends him to the floor. Lashley and Lana pose on the stage as Rusev looks on from the ring.

– We see The Kabuki Warriors backstage walking. Back to commercial.

Kairi Sane vs. Natalya

We are back and Asuka and Kairi Sane introduce themselves on their way to the ring. Asuka asks Nattie if her eye is okay. Kairi says they don’t care. Asuka joins in and they both say they don’t care. Asuka says she will beat Natalya in the Elimination Chamber and go to Wrestlemania. EZPZ.

The bell rings and they go at it. Natalya takes Sane down first. Sane takes it to the corner and shows off some. Sane fights in from the apron and goes to the top but has to roll through. Sane shows off some more and taunts Natalya. Sane dodges a discus clothesline but gets slapped in the mouth. Natalya goes on and hits a long suplex for a 2 count.

Sane blocks a Sharpshooter attempt and drops Natalya with a big fist while the referee is in the say. Sane keeps control for a 2 count. Sane keeps Natalya grounded now, raking at her face. More back and forth now. Sane looks to put Natalya away but runs unto a big discus clothesline for a close 2 count. More back and forth now. Asuka tries to get involved from the floor. Natalya turns her attention to her, allowing Saner to kick her to the floor. Asuka drops Natalya while Sane has the referee distracted. Natalya never gets back up before the 10 count.

We are back and The AOP and Buddy Murphy are in the ring. Buddy introduces the man who single handedly saved Monday Night RAW, “The Monday Night Messiah”, Seth Rollins.

Seth thanks Buddy for the introduction and he thanks everyone for making him the man he is today. He thanks everyone for making him the Monday Night Messiah. Before we begin, Seth says he wants to talk about the word sermon. It was not a term he came up with. This was branded by the powers that be. He asked for a few minutes to talk to you. Sermon seems appropriate for what he has to say. It is divine.

We are gathered here tonight to celebrate progress. Celebrate the future. Celebrate moving forward in his vision, in their vision. We completed phase one last week. Seth asks the people to show him the respect they are showing them. Phase one was complete when they vanquished Kevin Owens, The Viking Raiders, and Samoa Joe. Through belief you can put your mind to do whatever you want to do.

Now the work begins. Seth says he does not take the responsibility of being your Monday Night Messiah lightly. Seth says he takes it seriously. Phase two will not be easy. It is for the greater good. It is time to seek out the weak, the lesser than, and the noncompliant. We must find the flaws in the system and rehabilitate them… and eradicate them if we must. This is not a promise, a warning, or a threat. This comes from his heart. This is the gospel. If there are any WWE Superstars who remain non-compliant they will suffer the same fate as the weak. If you stand in the way of progress. If you stand in the path of the future…

The music finally interrupts as The Viking Raiders run out. Erik and Ivar rush the ring and brawl with AOP as Murphy and Rollins retreat up the ramp. Rollins orders Murphy back into the ring to fight. The Vikings take out all three as Rollins watches from the stage, throwing a fit. Kevin Owens runs out and drops Rollins with a Stunner for a big pop. Owens’ music hits as he stands over Rollins, looking down at him. Back to commercial.

– We are back and Seth is confronted by Charly Caruso and she mentions the sermon didn’t go as planned. Seth says it seems like the people around him are the only ones who give him respect. Seth says if they want a fight, they are going to get it. They will get it tonight.

In the Arena:

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson make their way to the ring.

AJ tells everyone to feast their eyes on him because he is back on Raw. What would Wrestlemania season be without him? Luke says Uncle Allen is at his absolute best. He is phenomenal when that Wrestlemania sign is up. Karl says that AJ is the new Mr. Wrestlemania. AJ says of all of the sweetest things he could say. AJ says as the humble man he is, he is the greatest superstar on any roster. The greatest superstar in any era. AJ says he has critics who says he is not as phenomenal as he says he is. AJ says when he wins that gauntlet match at Super Showdown, nobody can say anything but him. AJ says he will say ‘Who’s Next’? He doesn’t care who it is as long as the WWE Champion is available. It doesn’t matter who it is. It could be Drew McIntyre, it could be Brock Lesnar. It could be Ricochet. It could be Shawn Michaels, it could be Razor Ramon, it could be Sting, or it could be Hulk Hogan.

AJ says when he shows his dominance at Super Showdown…

Ricochet interrupts and he makes his way to the ring.

AJ tells Little Ricky to hold on. AJ says he was joking when he mentioned his name. AJ says he was being nice. He was being nice to a lot of people. No one believes you are going to be WWE Champion. What have you done to deserve a title match.

Ricochet says he isn’t mad at AJ for thinking that he doesn’t deserve a title match. Ricochet says he has earned that title match. At Super Showdown, he will do what people think is the impossible. He will beat Brock Lesnar. Ricochet says you don’t seem sold on it, why not have a match, right now.

Karl slows things down with some whoas. Karl tells AJ he will not let AJ’s first match back on Raw be against this non-Good Brother. Karl says since you are making challenges and he is the toughest guy in the building, he accepts.

Ricochet vs. Karl Anderson

Anderson with a punch but Ricochet with a handstand head scissors and drop kick. Ricochet wtih a plancha onto Anderson. Ricochet sends Karl back into the ring and Gallows gets on the apron to distract Ricochet and Anderson knocks Ricochet off the apron. AJ gets a shot in on Ricochet and the referee sends Luke and AJ to the back.

Anderson sends Ricochet back into the ring and he gives Ricochet a hard Irish whip and then he punches Ricochet. Anderson with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall. Anderson with a reverse chin lock. Anderson gets a near fall. Anderson runs Ricochet’s eyes across the ropes. Anderson with a snap mare and a rake of the eyes. Anderson with a kick to the head.

Ricochet with an inside cradle for a near fall. Ricochet with a rollup for a near fall. Anderson with a neck breaker for a near fall. Anderson with an uppercut and Ricochet with an elbow. Ricochet kicks Anderson away from the corner and Ricochet with a rolling drop kick. Ricochet with a running forearm and he gets Anderson on his shoulders. Ricochet sends Anderson into the turnbuckles and kicks Anderson. Ricochet with a springboard cross body and a standing shooting star press for a near fall. Ricochet goes up top and he goes for a 630 splash but rolls through when Anderson moves. Anderson with a spinebuster for a near fall. Ricochet lands on his feet on a suplex attempt.

Ricochet with a super kick followed by Recoil for the three count.

Winner: Ricochet

After the match, Ricochet stands tall as the announcers hype his Super ShowDown match against Lesnar.

Backstage:

Charly Caruso is in the interview area with Liv Morgan. Liv is asked about Ruby Riott’s comments about her and the attack from last week. Liv says she was as excited as anyone when she saw Ruby come back. In that moment, the rush of emotions when Ruby came out to celebrate her victory was one of the greatest moments of her career. Then she threw aside her friendship with her and Sarah. That is enough to break anyone. Not long ago, it would have broken her. She is not that puppy on a leash that Ruby described. She is comfortable in her own skin and she will be looking at things with a clear eye. She is going into the Elimination Chamber and she is going to eliminate Ruby Riott and move onto the Women’s Championship Match at Wrestlemania.

Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders vs. Murphy and The Authors of Pain

We go back to the ring for tonight’s six-man main event as Kevin Owens comes out first. The Viking Raiders are out next, Erik and Ivar. Out next are RAW Tag Team Champion Murphy and The Authors of Pain, Akam and Rezar. They hit the ring as we go back to commercial.

Owens and Murphy start things off and Owens with punches. Owens with more punches and he tags in Ivar. Ivar goes for a slam but Murphy with a waist lock. Ivar with a shoulder tackle. Ivar sends Murphy into the turnbuckles and Erik tags in. Erik with a shoulder and knee. Ivar with a forearm. Owens tags in and he chops Buddy. Owens with a knee to the head. Owens with another chop. Owens with a back elbow. Owens with punches and he tags Erik back in. Ivar tags in and he hits a shoulder in the corner. Ivar with a snap mare and fist drop for a near fall. Erik tags in and Ivar with a slam and then Erik slams Ivar onto Buddy for a near fall. Buddy with a jaw breaker and Akam tags in.

Akam pushes Erik and he pushes him again. Erik with a forearm and they exchange forearms. Erik with knees and a forearm. Ivar tags in and Ivar with a knee and Erik with a knee. Akam with a power slam and punches to Erik. Rezar tags in and Rezar with a knee for a near fall. Rezar runs his forearm across the face. Akam and Rezar with knees to Erik. Akam chokes Erik in the corner. Buddy tags in and punches Erik. Buddy with a snap mare and kick to the head for a near fall. Buddy wtih a rear chin lock. Buddy with elbows and Rezar tags in and punches Erik.

Akam tags in and Rezar knocks Ivar off the apron. Erik sends Rezar to the floor and he connects with a knee to Akam. Both men are down. Owens and Buddy tag in and Owens with a clothesline and chop. Buddy with a kick but Owens with a clothesline. Owens with a back senton but he runs into a boot in the corner. Owens with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker followed by a cannonball. Owens with a double jump elbow from the turnbuckles for a near fall. Buddy with an elbow and kicks to Owens. Owens with an enzuigiri and a DDT for a near fall. Owens goes to the turnbuckles and he knocks Rezar off the apron and he head butts Akam off the apron. Buddy crotches Owens and Kevin falls to the mat.

Rezar sends Owens into the ringside barrier. Rezar sends him into the ringside barrier again. Reazar punches Owens. Rezar works on the neck. Owens with punches but Rezar sends Owens to the mat and he punches Owens. Akam tags in and he kicks Owens and gets a near fall. Akam with punches and the referee warns Akam. Murphy tags in and Owens with a chop and thrust kick. Owens with a super kick and Murphy is down. Rezar tags in and he applies a front face lock. Rezar is able to send Owens into his corner and he connects with knees. Murphy tags in and he punches Owens. Murphy gets a near fall. Owens with a punch and Murphy punches back. They go back and forth but Murphy with an elbow. Owens with a punch to Murphy and Murphy is down. Rezar and Ivar tag in.

Ivar with a side slam to Akam and Ivar with a cross body to Akam. Ivar with a Spin Kick of Doom to Murphy. Rezar with an Irish whip but Ivar with a seated splash. Ivar with a cartwheel and clothesline to Akam. Erik with a running double knee to Rezar and then Ivar is sent into Rezar. Owens tags in and hits a Swanton for a near fall. Owens with a kick and Rezar escapes a stunner. Rezar with a clothesline and Murphy tags in and misses a double stomp. Owens with a pop up power bomb and Akam breaks up the cover. Erik and Ivar with stereo suicide dives. Owens with a kick and stunner but Rollins breaks up the cover and the referee calls for the bell.

Winners by DQ: Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders

Fans boo after the bell as Rollins pounds on Owens. AOP takes out Erik and Ivar on the floor. Rollins takes the mic and says he warned us this was what would happen if you stay in the way of progress and his vision. He taunts and works over Owens as the other three hold him. Rollins says Owens has crucified him since day one and now it’s time for them to crucify Owens. The music hits and out comes The Street Profits, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford. They take out Murphy at ringside and then AOP. They intimidate Rollins into retreating. AOP comes from behind to deck The Vikings and The Profits. Rollins watches from the stage as chaos unfolds in the ring. The babyfaces take out AOP and Murphy in the ring as fans cheer them on. Rollins throws a fit on the stage. Owens and the others celebrate as we go to replays. Rollins screams from the stage as Owens hits the corner to pose. RAW goes off the air.
