Goldberg Announced For SmackDown, The Messiah Sends a Message, Morrison and Miz

– Following his big title win over “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in the main event of WWE Super ShowDown earlier today, WWE has announced that Goldberg will be returning to SmackDown tomorrow night.

There’s no word yet on what Goldberg will be doing tomorrow night, but WWE is teasing that The Fiend may be there to confront him. As we’ve noted, Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg is rumored for WrestleMania 36, so they could begin the build for that.

Below is WWE’s announcement on Goldberg’s return:

New Universal Champion Goldberg will be LIVE on SmackDown

Goldberg is headed to Friday Night SmackDown, and he’s bringing the Universal Title with him.

The WWE Hall of Famer sent shockwaves through the sports entertainment world when he defeated “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WWE Super ShowDown. Instead of who’s next, the WWE Universe will be wondering what’s next for Goldberg as he heads into his second reign as Universal Champion.

Will “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt reemerge to confront the first man to stop his twisted rampage? Or will Goldberg target a new member of Team Blue?

Tune in to Friday Night SmackDown on FOX at 8/7 C to catch the new Universal Champion’s next move.

WWE previously announced that hometown star John Cena will return to SmackDown on this week’s episode. It’s rumored that Cena will be there to begin his WrestleMania 36 feud with The Fiend, but that wasn’t confirmed.

– Below is video of “The Messiah” Seth Rollins and Murphy talking about their win over The Street Profits at Super ShowDown. Rollins was asked what message was sent to the red brand tag team division with the win.

“The message is not just to the tag team division on Monday Night RAW,” Rollins said. “These here [tag titles] are a symbol of progress, they are a symbol of us making headway when it comes to my vision of Monday Night RAW, the people’s vision of Monday Night RAW. The message was clear – if you stand in the way of our progress, you will be eradicated. Just ask The Street Profits.”

– As seen below, The Miz and John Morrison celebrated their big title win over The New Day. They were asked what it felt like to win the titles 11 years after their last reign. Morrison commented on a post-match moment they shared in the ring.

“You know what the best moment of my comeback since I’ve been back so far, was at the very end when you hugged me and said, ‘Welcome back, brother.’ It felt so real,” Morrison recalled.

Miz said Morrison’s recent WWE return has rejuvenated him and Morrison’s excitement to be back has rubbed off on him. They went on and said they are smarter and better, and whether it’s a RAW, SmackDown or WWE NXT tag team, they can take on any team of any generation, any day.
