Brock Lesnar And Matt Riddle Reportedly Got Into Verbal Altercation Before Royal Rumble

According to a report by Pro Wrestling Sheet, Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle got into a verbal altercation prior to the Royal Rumble pay-per-view going on the air.

It was noted that things did not get physical between the two, but it was pretty tense when they saw each other backstage and three sources were cited as saying this was not for show. The report noted Lesnar and Riddle running into each other backstage, with Brock asking to know the “reality of the situation” between them.

Riddle has been pretty open in the past about wanting to retire Brock Lesnar, continuing to talk about a potential match between the two for several years. Riddle’s run-in with Lesnar is similar to his infamous “not your bro” encounter with Goldberg at Summerslam last year. The Goldberg / Riddle confrontation ended up airing on a WWE Network special later on, so we’ll see if anything comes of tonight’s incident.
