As noted, Impact Wrestling held their second night of television tapings in Mexico City. They closed out the night with a big title change.
Taya Valkyrie was the longest reigning champion in any major pro wrestling promotion until last night. Taya defended her title in Mexico City against Jordynne Grace and she lost. Valkyrie’s record run as champion will end at 377 days. She won the title at last January’s Impact Wrestling Homecoming PPV.
This is a big win for Grace as it is her first run with the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Title.
The episode with this title change is expected to air on January 28th.
