Marty Scurll Teases Luke Harper as New Member of His Stable, Viktor Reacts on The Ascension's Release

– As noted, The Ascension were released from their WWE contracts today and Viktor seems quite pleased with it.

Once thought of as a formidable tag team ready to take on the main roster, The Ascension slipped down the card very quickly after dragging the Road Warriors in their opening promo. This was followed by what seemed like an eternity of not being used for Konnor and Viktor.

They appeared on the Fashion Files from time to time where they got to show a bit of their personalities. This wasn’t enough and the Ascension haven’t been used since WrestleMania.

This makes the fact that Viktor tweeted out an animated gif of Mel Gibson as William Wallace screaming “FREEDOM” so poignant.

– Since the news of Luke Harper’s release from WWE, ROH star Marty Scurll posted a photo with Luke Harper and teased about Harper joining his stable, Villain Enterprises.

Scurll wrote on Instagram, “Villain Enterprises ?! #villain.” Several of the replies to the photo were “Yes Please.” The members of the ROH stable consist of Scurll, Flip Gordon, PCO, and Brody King.
