Jon Moxley returned to NJPW as he made a surprise appearance at Sunday’s NJPW World Tag League finals.
Moxley made his way through the crowd and ended up attacking Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki with paradigm shift.
This is when he grabbed a match and noted that he is issuing a challenge to Archer for the IWGP US Championship in a Texas Deathmatch at Wrestle Kingdom 14.
This led to the two stars brawling around the ring and to the backstage area to close the segment.
Back in October, Moxley had to vacate the IWGP US Championship. He was supposed to defend the title against Juice Robinson in a No DQ Match at the NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event but didn’t make it due to Typhoon Hagibis hitting Japan.
Both nights of Wrestle Kingdom 14 will take place at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan on January 4 and 5.
