Kenny Omega Talks Recent AEW Losing Streak

Kenny Omega made a recent appearance on an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio with Jim Valley and Dave Meltzer where he spoke about a wider range of topics.

In the interview, Omega discussed the decision to have him go on a losing streak while under the banner of All Elite Wrestling. This comes after he had a stellar run in NJPW before joining the promotion earlier this year.

Omega has lost the majority of his big matches in AEW including to Chris Jericho at Double or Nothing, PAC at All Out, and Jon Moxley at Full Gear.

“It’s no secret that I’ve sort of opted, I wouldn’t say take a back seat. I love performing, I love being on every show as much as I can, I like to contribute, I always want to contribute where I can. We have so many new faces and each and every one of them that we have on our roster there’s a star, there is star quality. It’s unfortunate that not every single one of them can be on TV. They can’t get a crap tonne of time and I’m just a very patient guy. I know my time will come.”

Omega added that he thinks right now for him to be what fans thought he would be, which was to be the same guy that he was in NJPW and be the top star in AEW, didn’t have the right timing to it.
