On the latest installment of his “After the Bell” podcast, Corey Graves shared his feelings about Survivor Series and discussed the changes he would implement to improve the second longest running pay-per-view event in history.
Graves admitted to obviously enjoying Survivor Series, adding however that he missed the days when it was rivalry-based. He continued that the brand supremacy didn’t seem to matter to anybody outside the doors of WWE. Graves went on to say some stakes were all the event needed to fix the problem.
“So here’s my pitch,” Graves began. “How about whichever brand wins the most matches at Survivor Series, you reward them with something? Maybe the 30th spot in the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble Matches.”
He continued, “Maybe you reward whoever wins at Survivor Series with the main event spot at WrestleMania. Put some stakes on the night as a whole. That way, one brand walks away not only with bragging rights but something tangible to look forward to in the future.”
