Riho beat Nyla Rose to become the AEW Women’s World Champion on the premiere episode of AEW Dynamite in Washington, D.C., at the famed Capital One Arena on the TNT Network.
This contest was set up at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event last month from the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL
It happened when Rose won the Women’s Casino Battle Royale that took place on the pre-show while Riho beat Hikaru Shida in a singles match that took place on the main card.
Now, Riho will make her first title defense as the AEW Women’s Champion in Philadelphia on October 16 at the Liacouras Center for the AEW Dynamite episode.
