Nikki Cross is the new #1 contender to SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley.
Cross won a Six-Pack Challenge on tonight’s WWE SmackDown from Indianapolis, to become the new #1 contender. The other participants were Lacey Evans, Carmella, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, and Dana Brooke.
The great part of this match was it was refreshing to see the talent that hasn’t been used regularly and also viable contenders for Bayley‘s title. The match did a nice job of showcasing each woman as they hit signature moves or finishers throughout.
Fire & Desire showed why it is always great to have the numbers as a tag team in this type of match where it is normally everybody for themselves. They would spend a decent portion of the match teaming up against Carmella.
In the end, it would be Rose that took the pinfall as Cross hit her patented spinning neck breaker and picked up the win.
There’s no word yet on when Cross vs. Bayley will take place, but we will keep you updated.
