Bully Ray on Why Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins Didn’t Work at Hell in a Cell

Bully Ray on why he thinks Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins didn’t work at WWE Hell in a Cell

Bully Ray sounded off on why he thinks Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins didn’t work at Hell in a Cell.

The contest ended in a match stoppage once Rollins hit Wyatt in the head with a sledgehammer. Ray gave his take on Monday’s episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio.

According to Ray, he thinks “Bray Wyatt might be the biggest babyface next to Becky Lynch in the WWE right now” and it’s due to fans being annoyed with the finish. He brought up how Wyatt didn’t rely on using weapons but rather Rollins did.

“There were so many points in that match that they backed Seth Rollins into a corner where it was almost impossible for him to look good.”

Ray also talked about how Rollins couldn’t compete with the support from fans towards Wyatt despite being the babyface and that’s due to his lack of connection.

“The people wanted to see Bray Wyatt win. The people wanted to see Bray Wyatt destroy anybody and everything in his path.” Ray noted that while Rollins is a great wrestler, he was up against that support and lacked emotional investment with fans unless he’s feuding with the right person.

Ray believes that the match fell on the heat on the referee, which was the mistake that was made. He thinks if it ended in 30 seconds with Wyatt winning then everything would’ve been fine.
