WWE Clash of Champions Results - September 12, 2019

The 2019 WWE Clash of Champions Kickoff pre-show opens live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina as Jonathan Coachman welcomes us.

He’s joined by Charly Caruso, David Otunga and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. The panel goes over the card and Coach leads us to a video package on Sasha Banks vs. RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch. We get a discussion and promo for the WWE Title match between Randy Orton and champion Kofi Kingston next.

We come back and Kofi is backstage with SmackDown Tag Team Champion Big E. Charly asks what “the good word” is but they brush her off and seem to mock her. Charly mentions Xavier Woods not being here tonight because of the attack from The Revival that has had him down for a month, but Woods appears in the camera shot and says he’s back. They go on about proving why The New Day is the best tonight, and how Kofi will still be the WWE Champion and they will still be the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. We get a promo video for the Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan No DQ match next. The panel discusses the Reigns vs. Rowan storyline now. Coach sends us to a break before we go to the ring.

Triple Threat for the WWE Cruiserweight Title: Lince Dorado vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Drew Gulak (c)

Back from the break and Vic Joseph welcomes us to ringside as we see fans filing into the arena. Vic is joined by Aiden English and Dino Maddin. They hype tonight’s Triple Threat and out comes Lince Dorado as fans dance to the Lucha House Party theme. Humberto Carrillo is out next, followed by WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak. The bell rings and we get formal ring introductions from Greg Hamilton.

The bell rings and Gulak goes to work. Carrillo gets dropped and Gulak goes for a 1 count on Dorado. They all go at it now. Gulak gets sent to the floor. Dorado and Carrillo run the ropes on each other. Gulak pulls Carrillo out and rocks him. Dorado ends up leaping from the top, splashing both opponents on the floor at the same time. Dorado leaps from the top of the barrier with a big floor hurricanrana to Gulak. Dorado rocks Carrillo and brings him back in. Lince goes to the top but Gulak shoves him off. Dorado hits the top rope and then the floor.

Gulak goes at it with Carrillo in the ring now. Carrillo with a crossbody from the corner for a 2 count. Carrillo works on the arm and controls Gulak. Carrillo goes to the top but Gulak yanks him to the mat for another 2 count. Gulak keeps Carrillo grounded now. More back and forth between all three. Carrillo gets sent out. Gualk goes to work on Dorado and catches him in mid-air. Gulak with a gutbuster for a 2 count. Gulak keeps Dorado grounded in the middle of the ring again. Dorado takes Gulak with with a back kick. Carrillo takes Lince out and goes back to work on Gulak. Carrillo with a dropkick to Gulak. Carrillo with a basement dropkick. Carrillo with a moonsault for another pin attempt on Gulak.

Carrillo keeps control and dropkicks Gulak out of the ring. Dorado runs in but gets sent to the apron and kicked onto Gulak’s shoulders on the floor. Carrillo runs the ropes and leaps, taking down Dorado off Gulak’s shoulders, sending all three to the floor for a pop from the crowd.

Fans chant “this is awesome!” as Carrillo brings Dorado in for a missile dropkick. Gulak breaks the pin up at 2. Gulak sends Carrillo into the corner and he goes down. Gulak takes Carrillo to the top but Carrillo knocks him to the mat. They tangle and Carrillo applies a submission. Dorado applies a submission while Carrillo has that one locked. Gulak breaks and sends them both down. Gulak with a 2 count on Dorado. More back and forth and pin attempts between everyone. They trade big strikes now. Gulak drops Carrillo with a huge clothesline and fans cheer them on. They all are down again. Dorado rocks Carrillo back into the corner and unloads. Carrillo turns it around with chops to the chest. Dorado takes Carrillo to the top but Gulak comes from behind. Gulak drops Dorado and climbs up. Humberto sends him down. Dorado launches up and dropkicks Carrillo off Gulak’s push. Gulak gets dropped by Dorado. Dorado climbs up and launches Carrillo to the mat with a super hurricanrana.

Dorado goes to the top for the Shooting Star Press but Carrillo moves. Carrillo drops Lince with a kick to the head. Carrillo hits the Aztec Press from the corner on Dorado but Gulak sends him into the ring post as he’s going for the pin. Gulak rolls Dorado up for the pin to retain.

Winner: Drew Gulak

After the match, Gulak stands tall and raises the title as his music hits.

We go to the panel and Coach leads us to a video package for tonight’s SmackDown Women’s Title match. Sarah Schreiber is backstage with champion Bayley and Sasha Banks now. Banks and Bayley joke around, mocking Schreiber some. Banks says they’re going home with all the gold and we can bank on that. We go to another break.

WWE United States Title Match: Cedric Alexander vs. AJ Styles (c)

Back from the break and Michael Cole welcomes us to ringside. He’s joined by Corey Graves and Renee Young. Out first comes the challenger, hometown star Cedric Alexander. The OC is out next – WWE United States Champion AJ Styles with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Gallows and Anderson walk AJ to ringside but they head to the back. The bell rings and we get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome. Cedric gets a big hometown pop for the Charlotte shout-out. The bell rings and Cedric immediately catches AJ with a big Michinoku Driver for a close 2 count out of nowhere. AJ and Cedric are both shocked. AJ rolls out but Cedric flies and takes him down. Cedric brings it back in and hits a big kick to the head for another close 2 count.

Cedric kicks AJ in the head from the apron and drops him. Cedric springboards up but AJ pushes him off the top rope, down on the apron. AJ goes to the apron and drops Cedric’s neck on the apron with a big stiff suplex. AJ grabs Cedric for a Styles Clash on the floor and he nails it.

AJ brings it back in the ring and covers but stops the pin attempt at the 2 count. AJ isn’t done. AJ keeps control and drops Cedric over his knee. Cedric fights but AJ drops him. They tangle on the mat but AJ applies a submission as Cedric goes for the bottom rope. Cedric breaks the hold. AJ works Cedric over while he’s down. AJ smiles and keeps kicking Cedric back down, focusing on his leg. Cedric gets up on the apron and catches a kick. Cedric with a back elbow, stunning AJ back. Cedric comes through the ropes and plants AJ face-first for a 2 count. AJ catches Cedric with a big reverse DDT.

AJ goes back to the apron and waits for Cedric to get up. AJ springboards up and hits a big Phenomenal Forearm. AJ goes for the Styles Clash and hits it in the middle of the ring. AJ covers for the pin to retain.

Winner: AJ Styles

After the match, AJ takes the title as his music hits but he goes right to work on Cedric while he’s down. Luke Gallows and Anderson run down to the ring to make it a triple team on Cedric. The OC stands tall and poses over Cedric with a “too sweet!” as some fans boo them. AJ’s music starts back up as The OC heads up the ramp.

– Coach asks if tonight is the night for Braun to win the Universal Title. Otunga says this is for the most richest prize on Raw. He mentions the issue of being partners at the start of the show and then they are opponents. Charly asks what is worse, for them to retain or if they lose the tag titles. Booker says they need to unite for the same purpose in the tag title match and then rip each other apart. Booker picks Braun to win tonight.

– We see Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman walk in the back as we get ready for the pay per view to being.

The 2019 WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view kicks off with a video package.

– We’re live from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina as Michael Cole welcomes us. He’s joined by Corey Graves and Renee Young.

RAW Tag Team Titles Match: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman (c)

We go right to the ring and out first are the RAW Tag Team Champions – Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins. Rollins comes out first, wearing his WWE Universal Title and raising the RAW Tag Team Title. Rollins heads to the ring as fans pop. Braun Strowman is out next and he’s ready to go, on the same page as Rollins ahead of their match later on. Dolph Ziggler is out first for his team. Robert Roode is out next and they head to the ring together. Cole introduces the Spanish and German announce teams at ringside. The bell rings and we get formal introductions from Mike Rome.

Braun Strowman will start against Robert Roode. Roode is unsure of what to do. A “Get these hands” chant picks up. They lock up, and Strowman powers Roode down before taunting him. Roode looks nervous as he pulls himself up in the corner. Roode circles the ring and hooks a side headlock. Strowman simply picks him up and throws him off. Dolph Ziggler whispers some advice to Roode. Roode thinks about it and tags Ziggler in. Strowman goes to cut off a cheap shot from Roode. Roode escapes, and Ziggler jumps on Strowman’s back for a sleeper hold. Strowman quickly pulls him off and big boots him down. Strowman avalanches Ziggler in the corner before tagging in WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins. Strowman whips Rollins into Ziggler for an avalanche, and Rollins picks up a two count. Ziggler quickly elbows Rollins back and tags Roode in. They send Rollins into the ropes, but he kicks Roode and throws Ziggler out of the ring. Rollins punches Roode down and knocks Ziggler off the apron. Roode then clotheslines Rollins out of the ring. Roode distracts the referee as Ziggler hits Rollins with a big spike DDT on the floor! Strowman intimidates Ziggler away.

Roode attacks Rollins from behind and gets him in the ring for a near fall. Roode punches away at Rollins’ head and tags Ziggler in. Ziggler punches Rollins in the midsection and applies a chin lock. Rollins gets out with a jawbreaker, but Ziggler quickly comes back with a famouser for a near fall. Roode tags back in and punches Rollins in the kidneys. Roode chops the chest in the corner and hits a textbook suplex for a one count. Roode chokes Rollins for a moment before Ziggler gets a cheap shot in. Roode goes to the second rope and jumps over Rollins. Rollins knocks Ziggler off the apron and boots Roode back. Rollins then hits Roode with a blockbuster. Ziggler tags in and catches Rollins with a victory roll for a near fall. Ziggler quickly applies a sleeper hold, but Rollins fights it. Rollins nearly tags Strowman, but Ziggler pulls him away. Ziggler taunts Strowman before going for a DDT on Rollins, but Rollins counters into a falcon arrow.

Strowman tags in and turns Ziggler inside out with a shoulder block. Strowman knocks Roode off the apron before avalanching Ziggler. Strowman sends Ziggler to the opposite corner and avalanches him again. Strowman goes outside and runs over Roode and Ziggler with shoulder blocks. Strowman gets Ziggler in the ring and avalanches him. Strowman goes for a Running Powerslam, but Ziggler rakes the eyes. Strowman goes into the ring post shoulder-first. Roode tags in and goes for a Glorious DDT, but Strowman throws him off. Rollins tags in and takes Roode down. Rollins kicks him in the midsection and goes for a Stomp, but Ziggler grabs the leg. Rollins gets out of a Glorious DDT and hits Roode with a Sling Blade. Rollins then hits Ziggler with a suicide dive. Roode avoids a springboard from Rollins and hits a Double-R Spinebuster for a near fall. Roode does his “GLORIOUS” taunt, but Strowman runs him over with a shoulder block. Ziggler then pulls the top rope down to get Strowman out of the ring. Roode then hits Rollins with a Glorious DDT for the win!

Winners and new Raw Tag Team Champions: Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode

Rollins disappointedly looks at Strowman and shakes his head. Both men look completely dejected.

– The camera follows Braun Strowman in the back walking with his head down. Charly Caruso walks up to him and asks how he’ll remain focused on the Universal Championship after losing the Tag Titles. Strowman says he didn’t lose the Tag Team Titles. Rollins did. Rollins is on a losing streak, and he’ll make sure it stays that way when Rollins gets these hands.

Backstage:

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch is interviewed backstage. Lynch says she disagrees with Braun Strowman. After tonight, she and Rollins will be champions. As for Sasha Banks, Lynch has had the best 12 month run of anyone in WWE. Lynch accomplished so much while Banks only dyed her hair. Banks is the one who should be answering questions. She will defeat Banks.

SmackDown Women’s Championship
Charlotte Flair vs. Bayley (c)

The bell rings, and Flair immediately floors her with a big boot for a near fall. Bayley immediately gets out of the ring to recover while Flair looks at her menacingly. Flair chases Bayley around ringside. Bayley gets in the ring, and Flair blocks a punch before chopping away at her. Bayley gets out of a t-bone suplex and pulls her down by the hair. Flair quickly kicks her and rocks her with a big forearm to the jaw. Flair then hits a t-bone suplex. Flair picks up a near fall. Flair grabs the leg, but Bayley escapes. Flair follows her out of the ring and sends her into the barricade. Flair grabs her again and sends her ribs-first into the barricade. Flair gets her in the ring for a near fall. A “Let’s go Charlotte” chant picks up. Flair tackles her into the corner and shoulders away at her. Flair blocks a boot and forearms her back. Flair then puts the leg on the rope and hits a knee drop. Flair goes for a Figure Four, but Bayley counters into an inside cradle for a two count. Flair immediately big boots her down. Flair stomps Bayley in the corner before the referee backs her up. Bayley has exposed the bottom turnbuckle. Bayley then pulls Flair face-first into the exposed turnbuckle and pins her to retain the title.

Winner and still SmackDown Women’s Champion: Bayley

After the match, Bayley runs right to ringside and grabs her title, then runs away to the back in a hurry as her music plays. We go to replays while Flair is down. A disappointed Flair heads to the back while fans are still surprised at the quick match and finish.

The Revival vs. The New Day (c’s)

Xavier Woods, making his return, will start against Dash Wilder. Woods’ knee has a thick pad on it. Scott Dawson tries for a cheap shot, but Woods cuts him off. Woods punches Dawson to the corner, but Dawson clips the knee. Woods quickly escapes. Big E then catches Dawson with a clothesline on the floor. Woods clubs Wilder down and chops the chest. Woods avoids a big boot. Big E blind tags in and hits Wilder with a one-armed slam for a two count. Big E pulls Wilder onto the apron and clubs away at the chest. Dawson pulls Woods off the apron. Wilder then hits an INSANE clothesline on Big E off the apron! Big E takes a flat back bumps to the floor! Wilder gets Big E in the ring and picks up a near fall.

Wilder attacks Big E and tags Dawson in. They hit a guillotine catapult into the ropes for another near fall. Dawson hits some falling head-butts and tags Wilder in. They hit a double-team leg drop for a two count. Dawson tags in and picks away at Big E. Dawson attacks the ribs and applies a body scissor. Big E fights up, but Dawson sends him into the corner. Dawson punches him in the corner. Big E then sends Dawson sternum-first into the corner. Wilder tags in, but Big E hits him with a belly-to-belly side suplex. Woods pulls himself up onto the apron.

Woods and Dawson tag in. Woods knocks Wilder off the apron, avoids Dawson, and hits him with a pair of clotheslines. Dawson reverses a whip, but Woods drops him with a head-scissor takeover. Woods boots Wilder back and hits the Honor Roll. Dawson throws Woods to the apron, but Woods kicks him back. Woods hits a slingshot DDT, but Wilder breaks it up by hitting Woods in the knee. Big E runs in and goes to spear Wilder off the apron, but Wilder moves. Wilder goes for a suicide dive on Big E, but Big E catches him. The Revival then hit Big E with a Shatter Machine on the floor. The Revival gets in the ring and corners Woods. Woods tries to fight them off, but they chop block the knee. Woods screams in pain. Dawson tags in, and they hit the Shatter Machine. Wilder tells Dawson not to pin him yet. They take off Woods’ knee pad. They rip Woods’ tights and expose the knee more. Dawson then applies a deathlock, and Woods screams in pain. Woods then taps out.

Winners by Submission and new SmackDown Tag Team Champions: The Revival

After the match, Dash and Dawson take the titles and celebrate as their music hits. Woods rolls to the floor and clutches his knee in pain. We go to replays. The Revival takes the mics on the stage and say the WWE Universe are welcome because finally the titles are no longer coated in proverbial pancake batter. Fans can now consider themselves revived. They go on and say finally the old school has quieted the new school noise, and there will be no more stupid trombone. They say later tonight we get an even bigger treat as Kofi Kingston loses the WWE Title to Randy Orton, who will extinguish his flame. The Revival says it will finally be a New Day.

Backstage:

Charly Caruso is wiht the Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Charly asks about what happened on Smackdown and Alexa stops Charly. Nikki says she showed Mandy on Tuesday and they are going to retain the title. The boom mic drops down and Truth apologizes to Other Carmella. Alexa tells everyone that Truth is here and they can get him in the back. The 24/7 Chase Committee goes after Truth and Carmella.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Fire and Desire vs. Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss (c’s)

Nikki and Mandy start things off and they lock up. Mandy slams Nikki. Mandy with a cartwheel over Nikki and Nikki with a clothesline. Nikki mocks Mandy and gyrates, forcing Mandy to tag in Sonya. Nikki with a sleeper and Sonya with a snap mare. Sonya with an arm bar and Nikki gets a near fall with a rollup. Nikki with an Irish whip and Alexa tags in. Nikki with a splash into the corner and Alexa gets a near fall. Mandy tags in. Alexa with a drop toe hold and Alexa with forearms in the corner. Alexa blocks a kick and slaps Mandy.

Alexa blocks a punch and Mandy yells at her for hitting her in the face. Alexa with a slap and a knee drop combination for a near fall.

The 24/7 crew make their way to the ring and R Truth is in the ring and Alexa gets a near fall with a rollup. Truth leaves through the crowd. Mandy with a waist lock and Sonya tags in. Mandy blocks an O’Connor Roll and Sonya with a forearm for a near fall. Sonya sends Alexa into the corner and Mandy tags in and kicks Alexa. Sonya tags in and Mandy with a delayed vertical suplex and Sonya with a running knee for a near fall. Sonya with a body scissors.

Alexa escapes and punches Sonya. Sonya with a kick and Mandy tags in. Mandy with forearms. Alexa with a rollup for a near fall. Mandy and Alexa miss slaps and then both women connect with forearms at the same time and both go down. Sonya and Nikki tag in and Nikki with forearms. Nikki with a splash into the corner followed by a bulldog. Mandy is sent to the floor. Nikki with a belly-to-back suplex. Nikki goes to the turnbuckles and hits a cross body for a near fall. Alexa tags in and she goes to the turnbuckles but Sonya pushes Nikki into the ropes and Alexa is crotched. Mandy pulls Nikki to the floor. Sonya with a slam off the turnbuckles and Mandy tags in. They go high low with a knee and leg sweep combination but Nikki breaks up the cover.

Nikki tags in and goes up top and misses a double stomp but rolls through. Mandy misses a knee into the corner and Nikki with a hanging swinging neck breaker for the three count.

Winners: Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss

– We take a look back at the Cruiserweight Title Match from the Kickoff Show when Drew Gulak retained the title. We also look at AJ Styles successfully defending the US Title against Cedric Alexander.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
The Miz vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (c)

We go to the ring and out first comes The Miz. Tom shows us some of the international announce teams in the arena. Sami Zayn is out next, wearing a neck brace. Fans boo as Sami calls for his music to be cut. Sami is disgusted with the disrespect fans have shown him, as did The Undertaker when he chokeslammed Sami in the middle of Madison Square Garden. Sami says he suffered a neck injury. Fans cheer the injury. Sami says he is still here to support the man he liberated. Sami goes on hyping up WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and out he comes. Tom shows us a replay of Sami and Taker from SmackDown.

They lock up and Sami has the Lio Rush mic set up to do live commentary. Miz with an arm drag into an arm bar. Nakamura with an arm bar into a hammer lock. Miz with a reversal. Nakamura with an elbow and snap mare but he misses kicks. Miz wiht a jab. Nakamura tells Miz to COME ON. Miz with chops followed by a knee to the midsection and boot to the head and he gets a near fall. Miz with a chop. Miz tells Nakamura to COME ON and Miz sends Nakamuare to the apron and then knocks Nakamura off the apron. Miz throws Sami’s mic up the ramp.

Nakamura with a kick to knock Miz off the apron when Sami distracted the Miz. Nakamura with a running knee lift with Miz’ head hanging over the apron and then Nakamura with a knee drop off the apron to the back of the head. Nakamura with kicks to the chest. Miz blocks a kick but Natkamura recovers and kicks Miz. Miz with a kick to the leg while the other one is in the ropes. Miz with kicks to Nakamura and Miz with a running knee into the corner followed by a second one.

Miz with a running clothesline into the corner and then Miz goes up top and hits a double sledge for a near fall. Nakamura escapes a figure four leg lock attempt and Nakamura goes for a cross arm breaker but Miz with a rollup for a near fall. Miz with a kick and DDT. Miz gets a near fall. Miz with kicks to the chest. Miz misses the round kick and Nakamura with a rollup for a near fall. Nakamura with a snap mare and he kicks Miz. Nakamura with a kick and a sliding German suplex. Nakamura with a sit out gourdbuster. Nakamura sets for Kinshasa but Miz moves and Nakamura hits the turnbuckles. Miz hyperextends the knee and then he applies the figure four leg lock. Nakamura gets to the ropes to force Miz to release the hold.

Nakamura with an inside cradle for a near fall. Miz with kicks and Zayn trips Sami. Nakamura with a knee to the back of the head and Nakamura gets a near fall. Nakamura sets for Kinshasa and Miz avoids it and hits Skull Crushing Finale but Zayn gets onto the apron and the referee argues with him and sends him away. Miz is unable to cover Nakamura. Miz goes after Zayn and Nakamura with a kick to the head. They return to the ring and Nakamura hits Kinshasa for the three count.

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura

After the match, Nakamura stands tall as his music hits. Sami comes in to join him as we get replays. Nakamura raises the title as the referee checks on Miz at ringside. Sami hugs Nakamura and hypes him up to the crowd.

– We are told about the WWE Draft on October 11th and 14th.

Raw Women’s Championship
Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch (c)

Becky slaps Sasha and slams her face into the mat. Becky blocks a kick and hits a dragon screw leg whip and a running forearm into the corner. Becky with a snap mare and Sasha goes for her version of DisArmHer but Becky is able to get it locked in for a moment but Sasha gets to the floor. Becky with a baseball slide to Sasha’s back. Becky comes off the ring steps with a forearm. They return to the ring and Becky with kicks. Becky goes to the turnbuckles but Sasha pulls Becky off the turnbuckles and Sasha with kicks. Sasha chokes Becky in the corner.

Sasha with a snap mare and kick to the back. Sasha chokes Becky in the ropes and Sasha with a knee to the head. Sasha gets a near fall. Sasha stretches Becky but Becky gets to her feet but she cannot get Sasha’s shoulders to the mat. Sasha kicks Becky to the mat and the Sasha with Meteora. Sasha with knees to the ribs. Sasha with a facebuster and kick to the head for a near fall. Sasha goes for a slam but Becky escapes. Becky with a springboard kick when Sasha misses a move into the corner. Sasha blocks the exploder. Becky with a kick but Sasha with a kick and Sasha stretches Becky from the turnbuckles.

Becky with a drop kick as Sasha comes off the turnbuckles. Both women are down and the referee starts his count. Sasha gets to her knees first and she punches Becky. Becky with a forearm and clotheslines. Becky with European uppercuts and a kick followed by an exploder. Becky with knees to Sasha but Sasha catches Becky and goes for Banks Statement but Becky but Becky gets to her feet and hits an exploder. Becky goes to the turnbuckles and hits a leg drop for a near fall.

Becky puts Sasha on the turnbuckles and Sasha knocks Becky to the mat and Sasha with Meteora for a near fall. Sasha shows her frustration by screaming. Sasha with a running double knee strike in the corner and then Sasha goes to the apron and she comes back into the ring and goes for Banks Statement but Becky counters into DisArmHer and Sasha escapes. Backy applies DisArmHer and Sasha gets to the ropes. Becky with a drop kick to Sasha against the ropes. Becky goes to the turnbuckles and hits a missile drop kick. Becky gets a near fall.

Becky kicks Sasha in the arm. Sasha puts Becky in the turnbuckles and Sasha with a lungblower and then she hits a second one and Banks applies Banks Statement. Becky tries to get to the ropes but Sasha keeps Becky from getting to the ropes. Becky rolls through for a near fall. Sasha goes to the floor. Sasha gets a chair and brings it into teh ring but the referee takes it. Sasha goes under the ring for another chair and she hits Becky in the ribs with it. Sasha with a Shining Wizard for a near fall.

Banks cannot believe it. Banks picks up the chair, but the referee takes it away. Lynch takes the chair and goes to hit Banks, but she accidentally hits the referee! The referee is out.

Lynch hits Banks in the back with the chair. Lynch fights her into the crowd and applies a Dis-Arm-Her with the arm wrapped in the steel post on the steps. Banks taps out. Lynch releases, and Banks runs off. Lynch chases her into the concourse area. Lynch attacks her and brings her back into the arena. Lynch drags her down the stairs and sends her back to ringside. Banks quickly knees her in the ribs to stop her. Banks sends her into the LED apron before sending her into the barricade. Banks gets her in the ring and grabs a steel chair. Lynch takes the chair away and viciously beats Banks down with it. Lynch sets the chair up, talks some trash, and slams Banks’ face off the seat. Lynch then applies the Dis-Arm-Her with the arm through the chair! Referees run down to pull Lynch off her. The crowd chants, “Let them fight!” Lynch grabs her title and leaves while the ring announcer informs the crowd of the decision. Sasha Banks wins by disqualification.

Becky raises the title on the stage as the music hits. Banks recovers in the ring as Becky talks trash from the stage.

Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston (c)

They lock up and Orton backs Kofi into the corner and Orton with a clean break, thanks to the referee getting between them. They lock up and Orton with a side head lock. Orton with a shoulder tackle. Orton with a waist lock and Kofi with a standing switch. Orton with an elbow and side head lock take down. Kofi with a forearm and Orton with a shoulder tackle and pose. Kofi with a jumping back elbow and forearm into teh corner. Kofi with another forearm into the corner. Orton goes to the floor to stop Kofi’s momentum. Orton goes halfway up the ramp and Kofi does Orton’s pose on the turnbuckles.

They lock up and Orton backs Kofi into the corner but Orton misses a punch and Kofi with a chop. Kofi with a chop. Kofi with chops as Orton tries to get away. Orton with a thumb to the eye. Orton with chops. Orton with a running shoulder tackle that knocks Kofi off the apron. Orton sends Kofi face first into the announce tables and then Orton drops Kofi onto the ringside barrier. Orton with a suplex on the floor. Orton with a back drop driver onto the announce table. Orton gets a near fall when they get back into the ring. Orton with another near fall.

Orton with an Irish whip and Kofi with a missile drop kick. Orton sends Kofi shoulder first into the ring post. Orton takes time to pose while the referee checks on Kofi. Kofi blocks being sent into the ring steps and Kofi with chops and punches. Orton sends Kofi back into the ring. Orton with an Irish whip but Kofi with a clothesline out of the corner. Orton sends Kofi to the apron and Kofi with a forearm. Kofi with a springboard forearm and both men are down. Kofi with chops and a drop kick. Kofi with a leaping clothesline and he sets for the Boom Drop. Kofi sets for Trouble in Paradise but Orton counters and hits a back breaker for a near fall. Orton goes for the hanging DDT but Kofi with a back body drop.

Kofi with a plancha onto Orton. Orton is sent back into the ring and Kofi goes up top and hits a cross body but Orton rolls through and gets a near fall. Orton avoids SOS and Orton with a drop kick for a near fall. Kofi blocks a punch and connects with punches and kicks. Orton rakes the eyes. Kofi with SOS for a near fall. Kofi goes up top but Orton hits the ropes and crotches Kofi. Orton sets for a superplex but Kofi blocks it. Kofi with a head butt and Orton with punches.

Orton with more punches and Orton goes back for the superplex. Kofi escapes and he drops Orton on the turnbuckles. Orton with a power slam. Orton gets a near fall. Orton sets for the hanging DDT and hits it. Orton looks around and then he twists to the mat and pounds on it to set up the RKO. Kofi with a rollup for a near fall. Orton runs into a pendulum kick. Orton with an RKO and Kofi’s leg is on the bottom rope to stop the count. Orton stands over Kofi and he sets for the running kick. Kofi avoids the kick and Kofi with Trouble in Paradise for the three count.

Winner: Kofi Kingston

After the bell, Kofi takes the title and starts celebrating as The New Day’s music hits. We go to replays as Kofi poses in the corner. Kofi continues his celebration and exits with the title.

Backstage:

We go to the Street Profits in the back. Montez says the show is far from over. On Raw, we will have the King of the Ring Finals. Angelo says he is rolling with Chad Gable. Montez says Chad will be King of the Ring and then he does the theme from the Lion King and Rikishi comes out. Rifiki raises Chad for all of the WWE Universe to see a new King. Hakuna Matata. Booker T shows up in full King regalia. He says on the eve of the King of The Ring Final, he gives his royal declaration on who he thinks will win. Angelo interrupts King Booka and he asks Booka to Knight him. Angelo says he would love to be called the Dark Knight, Sir Angelo Dawkins. Booker wants to know if he heard that. He tells Angelo and Montez to get their mind right. Booker wants to know if you can dig that… SUCKAAAA!

No Disqualification Match
Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan

Rowan charges the ring and Reigns jumps out to meet him at ringside. They fight and bring it in. The bell rings. Reigns mounts Rowan in the corner and unloads with strikes as the fans count along. Reigns looks to go for a Spear but Rowan drops him with an elbow.

Rowan brings it back out and works Reigns over on the outside. Rowan whips Reigns into the barrier and he lands hard. Rowan unloads with more big offense on the outside, using the barrier and the announce table. Rowan launches Roman into the barrier once again, then the edge of the steel steps. Rowan charges but Reigns moves and Rowan hits the steps shoulder-first. Rowan grabs half of the steps as Reigns brings a kendo stick from under the ring. Rowan strikes first, launching the steps at Reigns, sending him over the barrier. Rowan with a kendo stick shot in the crowd.

Rowan fights Reigns through the crowd, keeping control. Rowan with a big trash can shot over Reigns while talking trash. Rowan plays to the fans as they also talk trash to him. Reigns fights back and knocks Rowan over the barrier to the ringside area. Reigns follows and hits a big Drive By, sending Rowan into the ring post. Reigns takes apart one of the announce tables now as fans pop.

Rowan runs over and launches himself at Reigns, leveling him in front of the announce table. Rowan brings it back into the ring and works Reigns over. Rowan with a boot to the face. Rowan sends Reigns into the corner and puts a boot to his head. Rowan slams Reigns and stands over him. Rowan drops an elbow and then a splash, in the middle of the ring. Rowan goes to the second rope and waits. Roman finally gets up and Rowan levels him with a corkscrew elbow for a close 2 count. Rowan runs and kicks Reigns, yelling at him to stay down.

Fans chant “we want tables!” now. Rowan with another running kick to the gut. Rowan with more offense and another close 2 count in the middle of the ring. Rowan shows some frustration now. Rowan misses a clothesline and Reigns sends him over the top but he lands on his feet. Rowan grabs Reigns’ leg and pulls him to the floor, then sends him into the ring post. Rowan takes part of the ringside LED board off. Rowan slams Reigns face-first into the exposed part of the apron, then launches himself at him. Rowan brings Reigns back in for a close 2 count. Rowan shows more frustration and argues with the referee.

Rowan grabs half of the steps and brings them into the ring. Rowan waits for Reigns to get back up. Reigns ducks the stairs shot and is barely able to scoop Rowan up for a Samoan Drop. Rowan kicks out at 2. Rowan charges but misses in the corner. Reigns takes the stairs and droops Rowan with a shot to the face. Reigns with a Superman Punch for a close 2 count. Reigns rolls to the floor and leaps off another set of ring steps, flies at Rowan with a Superman Punch, but Rowan catches him in mid-air with ease, and powerbombs him through an announce table for a big bump.

Rowan brings Reigns back into the ring and Reigns somehow kicks out right before the 3 count. Rowan can’t believe it. Rowan brings Reigns out and into the timekeeper’s area now. Rowan with a ring bell shot to the back of the neck as he fights Reigns back into the crowd area. They fight over to a production area with Rowan keeping control. Reigns blocks a shot into a production case, and fights back with strikes to Rowan. Rowan blocks a shot and uses the Iron Claw to drive Reigns down onto a production table.

Rowan talks some trash and scoops Roman on his shoulders. Rowan carries Reigns over and drops him on the stage. Rowan grabs the jib camera like he did on RAW. Reigns grabs a piece of production equipment and rocks Rowan with it. Reigns grabs the jib camera and this time uses it on Rowan, sending it into him. Reigns with another shot to the face with the jib camera. Reigns charges and nails a Superman Punch, knocking Rowan down the ramp. Reigns goes back to the stage and runs down the length of the ramp for a big Spear, but Luke Harper appears out of nowhere with a big boot to Reigns’ face. Harper and Rowan embrace at ringside.

Harper and Rowan bring Reigns into the ring and continue to destroy him after taking him out at ringside. Rowan delivers another Iron Claw and covers Reigns for the pin to win.

Winner: Erick Rowan

After the match, The Bludgeon Brothers stand tall over Reigns as the music hits. We go to replays. Reigns recovers in the ring as Rowan and Harper look on from the stage.

Backstage:

Seth Rollins is asked about defending his Universal Title. Charly mentions that Braun says Seth lost the titles. Seth says it was the team that lost, but he cannot focus on that. The future is the Universal Title Match. He has all the respect in the world for Braun and he considers him a friend. Tonight is not his time. He slayed a beast at Summerslam and he adds a monster tonight.

Universal Championship
Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman

We go to the ring for tonight’s main event and out first comes Braun Strowman. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins is out next. We get formal ring introductions from Rome.

The bell rings and Strowman runs over Rollins with a shoulder. Strowman with more big moves. Rollins slides out of a powerslam attempt and goes for the knee from behind. Rollins keeps going for the leg but Strowman blocks. Rollins with a pair of superkicks and a third to bring him down. Rollins goes to the top and hits a big Frogsplash but Strowman kicks out before 1. Rollins is shocked.

Strowman continues to dominate and talk trash. Strowman misses and Rollins counters. Rollins springboards in and barely connects with a knee. He does the same move and brings Strowman down to one knee. Rollins goes to the top but Strowman catches him in mid-move and clubs him to the mat. Strowman runs around the ring and floors Rollins on the outside. Strowman brings it back in but Rollins rolls back out for another breather. Strowman runs around the ring and levels Rollins with a big shoulder. Strowman launches Rollins into the barrier and rolls him back in. Rollins ends up sending Strowman flying over the German announce team with a big shot. Strowman gets up but Rollins nails a suicide dive, sending Strowman into the edge of the table. Rollins goes for another dive and sends Strowman back into what was left of the table.

Rollins goes for another dive but Strowman fights. Rollins ends up placing Strowman on the Spanish announce table. Rollins goes to the top but Strowman runs back up and cuts him off. Strowman climbs to the top but Rollins climbs up with him. Strowman sits down on top and shoves Rollins to the mt. Strowman is bleeding some from his face. Strowman stands up on the top and leaps, nailing a huge splash on Rollins. Strowman clutches his knee and sells an injury. Strowman covers for a close 2 count. We get a replay of Strowman’s huge top rope splash.

Strowman stumbles up and scoops Rollins but Rollins turns that into a Sleeper hold. Strowman fades as Rollins brings him down to his knees. Strowman overpowers and sends Rollins to the mat. Rollin comes right back with a Stomp but Strowman kicks out at 1. Rollins can’t believe Strowman kicked out so easy. Rollins come right back with a second Stomp but Strowman kicks out at 2. Rollins is surprised again. Rollins goes for a third Stomp and nails it. Fans boo as Rollins covers again but Strowman kicks out at 2.

Rollins goes for another Stomp but Strowman counters and scoops him for a running powerslam. Strowman’s knee goes out during the powerslam. Rollins takes advantage and counters, then nails a Pedigree in the middle of the ring. Rollins immediately follows up with another Stomp. Rollins covers for the pin to retain.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match, Rollins stands tall with the title as his music hits. We go to replays. Rollins hold the title up on the stage. The pay-per-view is about to go off when the lights go out. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt is here. We see The Fiend holding Rollins on the stage. The Fiend drops Rollins with Sister Abigail on the stage as the light flickers back and forth on him. The lights go out after the Sister Abigail. It comes back on and we see Wyatt holding Rollins. The lights start flickering again as The Fiend brings Rollins back down with the Mandible Claw. Wyatt screams and laughs and the lights go back out. Clash of Champions goes off the air with the lights out and Wyatt’s laugh blaring across the arena.
