BREAKING: WWE 205 Live Moving To Friday Nights

WWE 205 Live Moving To Friday Nights

PWInsider reports that WWE 205 Live is moving to Friday nights at 10pm ET on the WWE Network.

The change is set to begin as of next week, October 4. This is the same night that SmackDown premieres on FOX, live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The show will not be taking place at Full Sail University, as has been heavily speculated, this means that the wrestlers on that brand will still wrestle in big arenas but with one difference. 205 Live wrestlers will occasionally appear on NXT programming.

During an interview with Newsweek last week, Triple H said that 205 Live would be part of the NXT umbrella. PWInsider noted that the series will now have the NXT creative team handling storylines.

Last week on the debut episode of NXT on USA, Lio Rush defeated Oney Lorcan to become the number 1 contender for the Cruiserweight Championship so it looks like that title will be defended on NXT shows.

The first 205 Live on Friday nights is scheduled for 10/4 immediately after the Friday Night SmackDown debut on FOX. 205 Live will continue airing on the WWE Network.
