Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler got fans talking earlier this month when they had a confrontation at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse in Las Vegas.
Ziggler lost to Goldberg in quick fashion at the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event last month in Toronto, Ontario at the Scotiabank Arena. At the time, the belief was that the two stars did the angle to get fans talking, which they achieved that goal.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that right now there are no plans to do anything with the incident on television nor are there any plans to bring them back as a feud.
We’ve noted earlier on the site that Paul Heyman, who is the Raw Executive Director, wants Goldberg as an occasional character who comes in and destroys people.
The idea is to have him somewhat reminiscent of the role Bruno Sammartino played when Bob Backlund was champion. The long-term idea would see Goldberg be in that role for several years before Brock Lesnar takes it over.
