As noted, NXT will start airing on the USA Network next week, but they will only air a hour of the show for the first two weeks.
The second hour will take place on the WWE Network. The reason for this is actually simpler than some people would think.
USA Network’s long-running show Suits is in its final season. They air that show on Wednesday nights, but they need to wrap it up before NXT comes along.
NXT has announced Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain in a Street Fight on their September 18th debut. This should be a brutal contest seeing how street fights mean nothing is off limits.
Velveteen Dream vs Roderick Strong for the North American Title is also confirmed for that show which should be a barnburner as well.
Mia Yim vs Bianca Belair vs Io Shirai are also already promoted for a triple threat match. It looks like NXT will be showcasing the women in a big way on the USA Network.
We’re not certain which of these matches will be on USA Network and which ones will fall during the second hour on WWE Network. It is sill an absolutely loaded debut as WWE tries to get some serious attention with NXT’s transition to a live two-hour format.
