WWE RAW Results - August 12, 2019

Tonight’s RAW opens up with a video package on how Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the WWE Universal Title in the SummerSlam main event on Sunday.

– We go right to the ring and out comes Seth Rollins.

Seth says he wants to be honest, but last night he didn’t know if he had what it took to beat Brock Lesnar. The last few weeks have been the toughest. He was not at 100% last night and he stared Brock in the eyes. In this ring, Brock is everything that he is touted to be. He is a freaking beast. When he emptied the tank out, something happened. You guys came alive. In that moment, you took him to a place he has never been before in his entire career. You took him to a place he couldn’t go on his own. You took him to a place only we could go together. At that moment, he knew what it took to slay the beast. Seth says he remembered that he is Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins and that is why he is standing here as the Universal Champ.

The music interrupts and out comes The OC – WWE United States Champion AJ Styles with RAW Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

AJ tells Seth that they would like to be the first to congratulate you. AJ says here is where it gets tricky. You don’t have to worry about Brock Lesnar, but you have to worry about the man standing in front of you. Ever since he came to his senses, he has a lot to prove. AJ says he wants to challenge Seth tonight. He wants to prove that he is much much much much of a better champion than Seth.

Seth says he has always had a ton of respect for AJ, but not any more. It doesn’t matter how beaten up he is, he does not back down from a fight. Later tonight, he will teach AJ a lesson in respect so challenge accepted.

AJ Styles
offers his hand to Seth but Seth does not shake it. AJ tells Karl and Luke to leave the ring and then they shake hands. Luke and Karl get back on the apron but AJ tells them to stop but they got Seth scared.

Angelo asks if it happens to everyone, even Samoa Joe. Sami says Joe is a perfect example. He was destroying people three years ago when he debuted and last week, he was caring about Roman Reigns.
