Braun Strowman vs. AJ Styles with the WWE United States Title on the line is now official for next Monday’s RAW from St. Paul, Minnesota.
As noted, AJ issued a challenge to Strowman after last night’s RAW went off the air. AJ was upset after Strowman returned to TV at the end of the RAW main event to save Seth Rollins from a triple team beatdown by The OC.
Strowman took to Twitter this morning and accepted AJ’s challenge.
Braun wrote, “Do you have strength in numbers if I’m bigger than all three of you?!? Consider your challenge accepted and your reign as US Champion coming to a close!!!! #Raw #MonsterChamp”
Strowman also had words for The OC after last night’s RAW went off the air. He warned them and wrote, “Big mistake boys… #MONSTERSHERE”
Speaking of Braun Strowman, the Wrestling Observer suggested that the main event for WWE’s next PPV – Clash of Champions – is likely going in the direction of Seth Rollins defending the Universal Title against Strowman.
Following last night’s Raw, Strowman came out to save Rollins and Ricochet as they were getting beat up by the O.C. is eventually going to lead to Rollins vs. Strowman at the September 15 PPV. It was suggested that WWE needs some new contenders for the title but they really have no one else ready, except for Braun. Another possibility was Drew McIntyre, but the direction for McIntyre’s character at the current time is not to challenge for the Universal title yet.
