With just few days before the pay-per-view, WWE Stomping Grounds looks like a weak card.
Wrestle Votes’ source seems to echo the idea that the Stomping Grounds event might be lackluster at best. It is said that they are getting the same feeling as they once did before a run of the mill In Your House event back in the day.
Texting with a WWE source, who travels with the crew. Said the vibe going into Sunday’s PPV is similar to the vibe around the “In Your House” shows from back in the day. Lack of meaningful matches, low ticket sales and general feeling reminds them of 1995/1996. Yikes.
WWE In Your House events produced some memorable matches, but for every amazing match there was a slew of others that just aren’t worth remembering. WWE Stomping Grounds could fall into the category of the latter.
WWE has one more chance for SmackDown Live tonight to shape up the Stomping Grounds card. We will have to wait and see what they are able to book. However, it seems that a majority of WWE’s energy in June went toward promoting their WWE Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia.
