For those of you that have asked about All Elite Wrestling’s weekly TV show on TNT, no decision has been made yet on what night it will air.
Tuesday or Wednesday seems likely, as AEW registered the “Tuesday Night Dynamite” name several months ago but they would have to come up with a different name if they end up on Wednesday nights.
Dave Meltzer noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that TNT has done a lot of analytics to figure out the best night. Tuesday would seem like a good night because wrestling fans are used to tuning in to watch SmackDown Live on that night but there will be a lot of preemptions for NBA games. That would mean that Wednesday would be the most likely night to air the show.
Jason Agnew reported that AEW is in talks to air the weekly show on TSN in Canada. Meltzer noted that there are significant talks with TSN but nothing is finalized. A deal with TSN would mean that AEW would have a stronger deal than WWE in Canada. WWE programming airs on Sportsnet 360.
In the United Kingdom and Ireland, it’s looking like ITV 4 will be their TV home for the weekly show.
