Jon Moxley Says Vince McMahon Should Step Aside as Head of WWE Creative, Says Triple H Would be Better

As noted, Jon Moxley spoke with Wade Keller Pro Wrestling Podcast. Below are more highlights from the interview:

Moxley on Vince McMahon:

“Over time and especially looking back and in last few months, I didn’t see a lot of genius that is Vince McMahon. I think like in the eighties he was a genius when he created Hulkamania and took over all the territories and cable television and all of that. In 2019, I don’t think he knows what the f— is going on. So he needs to figure it out or step aside and let somebody who knows what is going on do it.”

Moxley on whether Paul “Triple H” Levesque is ready to take over main roster creative responsibilities:

“I mean who else is there? He’s clearly been preparing for this. Like when Vince isn’t there, he’s the guy you defer to. He’s got good ideas. His ideas are his ideas. He’s a lot more… He’s very cerebral. you know? He’s not like a super open, collaborative… He thinks about things a lot. I just think it’s a much better option between the two of them.”

Moxley on Roman Reigns:

“His personality is so great, he’s such a great dude. Everybody loves him, he’s the most lovable guy in the world. He’s the guy everybody gravitates to in the locker room, just his natural charisma and stuff, but they don’t let him just be himself. They try to like make him… Years ago, he was trying to be what they wanted him to be or whatever. Like, dude, you’re the guy and they’re giving him the spot. He’s not going to reject everything. He’s going to try his best and he always has. The cool thing is like I’m really glad that he was like legit one of my best friends… Even when we were in like competition so to speak, because I love him so much, I couldn’t like resent him or anything. Like if he was a guy that I wasn’t friends with that I hated, I’d probably resent the hell out of him. Because there many times where I felt like I had a stronger connection with the audience than him, but it didn’t matter. He’s my best friend. It would have never come between us.”
