Mick Foley unveiled the 24/7 Championship on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Albany, NY at the Times Union Center on the USA Network.
This is where he noted that wrestlers from the entire WWE roster are eligible to challenge for it including talent from Raw, SmackDown, 205 Live, NXT, and NXT UK.
The crowd’s reaction to the belt was mixed and lackluster. Following the segment, Foley took to his official Twitter account where he gave his take on the lackluster reaction from the fans in attendance to the introduction.
This is where he made it known that he thinks the fact that fans were expecting to see the Hardcore Title brought back impacted his promo. You can see Foley’s tweets here:
“Pope – I think the crowd was hoping for the return of the classic Hardcore Title. Thanks for the compliment, but I felt like I came up pretty short on that promo. No one’s fault but my own.”

Yes, I think the audience will begin enjoying the 24/7 aspect pretty quickly. I just wish I had kicked it off with a better promo. https://t.co/NGMTR2Pnbq— Mick Foley (@RealMickFoley) 21 maggio 2019
