Over the last several days, there was concern about Rey Mysterio’s status for WrestleMania 35 because of the ankle injury suffered during his match with Baron Corbin at Monday Night Raw.
Thankfully, he is not seriously injured and he has been seen at Axxess walking around fine and without a limp.
WWE sources confirmed to Dave Meltzer that Mysterio’s match against Samoa Joe will happen as scheduled.
The issue with his ankle forced WWE to pull him out of a scheduled match with Andrade on Tuesday night and there were still questions as late as Wednesday on if the match with Joe would take place.
Mysterio’s son Dominic will be at ringside cheering his father as he challenges for the United States Championship. Dominic has been training at Lance Storm’s Wrestling Academy in Canada so this could be the start of an angle to get his feet wet with WWE.
