Backstage News On Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania Match, John Cena WM35 Role, RAW Women’s Championship ** POSSIBLE SPOILERS **

BROCK LESNAR

– WWE could very well have Brock Lesnar around for longer than WrestleMania, but WWE is being extremely tight-lipped about what kind of schedule he will have. This is nothing new for WWE to keep fans guessing when it comes to the Beast Incarnate, but it might go even further than that.

Brad Shepard said on Oh, You Didn’t Know that Brock Lesnar is expected to stick around after WrestleMania and that he very well could retain his Universal Title at the show of shows. He also explained some of the lengths the company is taking to make sure that even employees are kept in the dark.

It was reported that WWE employees who used to receive a notice about Brock Lesnar’s upcoming schedule are not being given that information anymore. It looks like Lesnar’s WWE status is on a need to know basis.

The fact that WWE is being so elusive with Brock Lesnar’s future with the company could very well indicate that there is no real intention of him going anywhere. He could very likely keep working an extremely profitable part-time WWE schedule, but the company is only releasing the information as it is made known to everyone else.

– Speaking of WrestleMania 35, John Cena is expected to be there in some role. According to Brad Shepard, “WWE are considering having John Cena interrupt Elias’ performance at WrestleMania.”

Lars Sullivan was supposed to face John Cena, but Sullivan went home after suffering what is believed to have been an anxiety attack and he hasn’t been seen since. Elias would be a fine opponent for Cena at WrestleMania and an Impromptu Match is still a possibility.

– WrestleMania got a whole lot more interesting when Charlotte Flair won the SmackDown Women’s Title from Asuka. Plenty of people are very upset about how WWE treated Asuka, but it wasn’t about her.

Bryan Alvarez explained on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE’s plan could possibly be for them to close out the show of shows with all 4 Horsewomen standing tall as champions. With Charlotte Flair’s title win on Tuesday that makes this visual a total possibility.

“This is not about Asuka, it’s about Charlotte. The Women’s Champion could have been Asuka, it could have been Naomi, it could have been Carmella… it doesn’t matter who the SmackDown Champion would have been. They want the Horsewomen closing out the show as champions at WrestleMania. So whoever was the SmackDown champion was losing that title to Charlotte. Don’t make a bigger deal about this than it is. Because it’s not that big of a deal at all.”

This booking decision could also be a huge spoiler for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match as well. It looks like the 4 Horsewomen could close out the show of shows with an outstanding photo opportunity as they raise their titles on the grandest stage of them all.
