In an update, PWInsider reports that The Animal met with officials at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT last Thursday. There's no word yet on how that meeting went but the original report stated that Batista was "50/50 on returning at this point" based on how the talks with WWE have gone.
Batista last appeared for WWE at SmackDown 1000 in October and teased a match with Evolution partner Triple H. That match could happen at WrestleMania 35 as Triple H was cleared to return to training back in mid-January after suffering a torn pectoral muscle at WWE Crown Jewel this past November. Batista is scheduled to start filming the "Dune" movie in March of this year, but that does not rule out a ring return.
Speaking of Batista, Chris Jericho put up a picture of the two to fuel speculation and possibly promote an upcoming episode of Talk Is Jericho too.
It was not noted how intensely AEW is talking about bringing Batista in, but the fact that they are still dealing with each other could be a big clue.
