Lars Sullivan is perhaps a small exception in that he is expected to get every opportunity in the world to get over so if he ends up failing, it will not be due to a lack of effort.
Kairi Sane and Io Shirai were also potential names that could have been called up, but the feeling was that if they ended up on Raw or Smackdown, Vince would have “no clue” on what to do with them, especially with Asuka already there and doing well and he would likely only want one Japanese female star at the moment.
