WWE Smackdown Results - November 20, 2018

WWE Smackdown opened up with a video feature on Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey at this past weekend’s Survivor Series PPV.

We are live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles and Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring to start the show.

Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring. Flair smiled. A fan yelled, “Thank you Charlotte” and she said, “Yes, thank me.” She said she put the baddest beating of the so-called baddest woman on the planet and she is so proud of it. She asked Ronda Rousey is she was looking at her bruises and welts and walking a little shower. She Smasaid if Ronda was looking for an apology, she’s not going to get it. Flair said she enjoyed every second of beating her ass. She said it was for her locker room and the champ. She spent half her career fighting against Becky Lynch and she fought at Survivor Series for Becky Lynch. Lynch told her to give Ronda the beating that she would have and Charlotte did. Flair bragged that Rousey bowed down to the Queen.

Smackdown GM Paige came out and said she didn’t have to apologize. Paige said that she and everyone loved it. Paige said that on Raw, Ronda said she was going to find Flair and take care of her. Flair said that if she sticks her nose in her business again, she’s going to put Rousey’s hair in a chair again and stomp it a million times. Flair said no one can stop her. Paige reminded her she put her hands on five WWE officials, so she has no choice but to fine Flair $100,000.

Before Flair really had a chance to respond, out came the IIconics.

The IIconics ask Paige what she’s doing. They say she’s acting like Flair did on Sunday but on steroids. They know they are Paige’s favorites, everybody knows it. They enter the ring now. The IIconics say they want to do Paige a favor by taking the $100,000. Flair says their future is one of them becoming the next Ronda Rousey. They look scared now. Flair throws a “wooo!” at them and her music starts up. The IIconics look to exit the ring as Flair takes her robe off. It looks like we’ve got a match but they didn’t do a good job at setting that up at the end. We go to commercial as Flair stares them down.

Charlotte Flair vs Billie Kay

Flair was aggressive with chops early and brought Kaye down with a side headlock, grinding again. Flair nails a series of kneedrops and Kaye was already on the ropes. Flair took her down and went for the figure four but Kaye scrambled for the ropes to break up the attempt. Kaye retreated to the floor. Flair smiled and followed out and back to the ring. Kaye returned to the floor, but this time when Charlotte followed, she was caught with a clothesline. Back in the ring, Flair caught her with an O’Connor Roll but was sent into the buckle when Kaye kicked up. Peyton worked over Flair on the corner as Kaye distracred the referee.

Flair came back with a Fall Away Slam, followed by Natural Selection for the pin.

Winner, Charlotte Flair

Flair said that wasn’t enough for her and challenged Royce to face her. Royce looked like she didn’t want to wrestle. She finally agreed but entered the ring with great trepidation. Royce then exited immediately. This went on for the entire commercial break. Flair finally attacked her and drilled her into the corner, nailing several shoulderblocks. Royce kicked her away but Flair almost immediately regained control and tossed her to the floor. Flair met her with chops against the barricade.

Flair finally caught her with a big boot. Flair went for a slam but Billie Kaye attacked Flair from behind.

Winner by DQ: Charlotte Flair

The crowd chanted “Becky” as the IIconics beat Charlotte Flair down and tried to take a chair but someone took it back which never happens. Then Flair hit a double spear on the outside on Billie and Peyton before she smashed their heads off the announce table… a lot. Flair sent them into the ring steps and the barricade before tossing them over the announce table and then she stood on top of it and “woooed”.

In the Arena:

WWE Champion Daniel Bryan came out and said he committed an act of betrayal three years ago when he gave up on his dreams and retired. He said the difference between himself and “these people” is that he doesn’t accept failure. He went all over the country to see doctors and experts. He forced himself to sit inside a hyperbaric chamber for three hours a day. He said that silence gave him the chance to create his mantra, fight for your dreams and it worked. He said how else can you describe the miracle where Daniel Bryan returned to the ring. He said he heard the loudest Yes chants he had ever heard and it was a great moment.

For the people, it was just a moment. They weren’t there for the pain or the struggle. They didn’t have to deal with family fights or the therapists and the psychiatrists who told him to move on. He said the only people who moved on were the fans, the idiots chanting for AJ Styles. That brought up a Styles chant. He called them fickle fans. He said Daniel Bryan’s dreams took over and did what they were programmed to do and they kicked AJ Styles in the balls. He said that Daniel Bryan’s dreams made him realize that he didn’t need these people for anything and they told him at Survivor Series, he didn’t need to beat Brock Lesnar to win. He won by allowing Lesnar to beat the weakness out of him, so there would be a new emergence out of that match – and there has been.

Daniel Bryan declared the old Daniel Bryan is dead and so is the Yes Movement. He said that all that is left is the new Daniel Bryan, the WWE Champion – and the only thing that matters is that you never give up on your dream, again.
