WWE Mixed Match Challenge Results - November 27, 2018

Tonight is the beginning of the MMC Playoffs featuring the Raw brand teams: Ember Moon & Curt Hawkins vs. Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox, also Finn Balor & Bayley vs. Bobby Lashley & Mickie James.

Ember Moon and Curt Hawkins vs. Alicia Fox and Jinder Mahal

Ember isn’t looking too thrilled with her new partner. Ember starts things off with Fox and looks for the early roll-up, two. Fox does the same, two. Ember gets in some offense, Fox is able to tag out. Mahal steps in and Hawkins isn’t exactly jumping into the ring, almost looking for Ember to take Mahal on. Hawkins finally gets in the ring and Mahal immediately grounds him.

Hawkins dodges Mahal a few times and finally lands a dropkick, then clotheslines Mahal out of the ring. Hawkins slides out of the ring, takes out the Singh Brothers, gets up on the apron and Mahal boots him back down to the floor. Mahal works him over, tosses Hawkins back in the ring, cover, two. Backstage, Bobby Lashley, Mickie James, and Lio Rush are getting prepped for their match later tonight. In the ring, Mahal taunts Hawkins a bit and he continues to wear down his opponent. Looks like Samir Singh is bleeding at the bridge of their nose from that mini-brawl with Hawkins.

Hawkins finally is able to tag out, Ember with a springboard crossbody, and he’s really putting the boots to Fox. Fox dodges her, roll-up, cover, two. Ember with a low superkick, pin, very close three. Ember heads up to the top rope, Hawkins tags her foot as she hits the Eclipse, Hawkins dives in for the pin, but it doesn’t work like that! Ember with a double eclipse on the Singh Brothers on the floor, Mahal runs into the ring, hits the khallas, cover, and that will do it.

Winners: Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox via pinfall to advance to the Semis

– Next week: Miz and Asuka vs. Naomi and Jimmy Uso

– Backstage, Kayla Braxton asked Fox and Mahal how it felt to win two straight matches. Fox says Jinder and the “Singh Sisters” finally listened to her and that’s why they won. Mahal mocks Braun Strowman’s “Get these hands” catchphrase and they head off. Mickie James walks by and says she doesn’t know what Fox was talking about, but she and Bobby came here to dominate.

Mickie James and Bobby Lashley vs. Finn Balor and Bayley

Balor and Lashley get things going, but Lashley quickly tags in James. Rush tries to get a “Mickie” chant going, hops up on the apron for a distraction, James strikes Bayley from behind and attacks her in the corner. Bayley is taken down, low kick, cover, two. James sends Bayley face first into the top turnbuckle, Bayley gets in one strike, James with a neckbreaker, cover, two. Body scissors on Bayley who leans back for a pin, James kicks out, then yanks Bayley to the mat by her hair. Bayley kicks James away, double clothesline in the center of the ring.

Balor gets the tag, and goes to work on Lashley, couple kicks, flying forearm. Balor tries to lift Lashley, nope, but Balor trips him and hits a double stomp. Chop to the chest, Balor tries for a kick, gets caught and an elbow to the head. Lashley then sends Balor flying down to the announce table. Lashley quickly tosses Balor back into the ring, pin, two. Lashley mocks Strowman with the running charge around the outside of the ring, Balor with a slingblade, Lashley gets back into the ring at 9. Balor looks to tag out, but James pulls Bayley down to the floor. Lashley with a shoulder block to Balor.

Lashley charges into the corner, hits the ring post. Balor is able to tag out, Bayley with a flurry of strikes, jumping knee, she heads to the top rope, nobody home, James with plants her face first, kip-up, and she now heads to the top rope seated senton, cover, Bayley reverses, two. James with a kick to the midsection, looking for her DDT, nope, catches Bayley with a forearm. Bayley ends up sending James out of the ring, looks to fly, and Rush trips up Bayley (crowd didn’t like that). Balor sends Lashley out of the ring, then launches Rush out of the ring, front flip takes both Rush and Lashley out. Back in the ring, bayley-to-belly on James and that will do it.

Winners: Finn Balor and Bayley via pinfall to advance to the Semis to face Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox.
