WWE 205 Live

We start off with a look back at highlights from the WWE Cruiserweight Championship between Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali from Survivor Series.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy makes his way to the stage and he has something to say.

Buddy welcomes everyone to his 205 Live.  He says that before the show starts, he wants to know if the people thought that Mustafa Ali was going to beat him.  He says that your opinion means absolutely nothing to him.  Buddy says that he proved that you cannot stop the unstoppable.

Tony Nese joins his friend on the stage since he is in the opening match.

Dar says he asked Drake Maverick for a chance here.  He has been spending time between 205 Live and NXT UK.  He has eight reasons to kick Nese’s head off.

Tony Nese (with Buddy Murphy) vs. Noam Dar

They lock up and Dar with a side head lock.  Nese shows Dar his biceps as he poses in front of him.  Nese with a waist lock but Dar with a wrist lock and side head lock.  Nese with a shoulder tackle and Nese poses again.  Dar with a wrist lock and waist lock but Nese with a standing switch.  Nese falls over Dar and Dar with a shoulder to the midsection.  Dar spins Nese around and gets a near fall with a back slide.   Nese is sent to the apron and Dar kicks Nese in the knee to send him to the mat.  Dar with a baseball slide to send Nese to the floor.

Dar goes to the floor and he tells the referee to watch Buddy.  Nese sends Dar into the apron and then Nese with a gutbuster on the floor.  Nese sends Dar into the ring and he hits a running forearm for a near fall.  Nese with a body scissors on Dar.  Dar leans back and gets a near fall.  Dar escapes with shots to the leg.  Nese with a waist lock.  Dar with punches while Nese has Dar in a bear hug.  Nese with a knee to the midsection.  Nese misses a cross body when Dar drops down.  Nese with a back elbow but Dar kicks Nese in the shin and Nese falls off the turnbuckles to the mat.

Dar wit a head butt to the midsection followed by a European uppercut.  Dar with a Northern LIghts suplex for a near fall.  Dar misses a kick to the shin and Nese with knees and kicks.  Dar with a guillotine but Nese gets out of the hold.  Dar with forearms.  Nese with a punch and then he leaps over the top rope to the floor and drops Dar on the top rope.  Nese misses the double jump moonsault when Dar moves.  Dar with a guillotine.  Nese with a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.  Dar with kicks to the head and he gets a rollup for a near fall.  Nese with a forearm.

Dar with a kick to the leg and he hits a gourdbuster and running drop kick for a near fall.  Dar sets for the Nova Roller but Murphy grabs the leg.  Dar kicks Murphy and Nese with a running knee to the back and a German suplex into the turnbuckles.  Nese with the running knee for the three count.

Winner:  Tony Nese

After the match, Murphy with a shot on Dar.

Mustafa Ali says he is hurt.  It is not just physical.  It is in here too.  He does not want to forget this pain.  He says he is not trying to run from it.  He wants to embrace it.  Ali says he wants to feel everything so he knows how it feels to pull himself up.  Ali says he will dig deeper and fight harder.  Ali vows to become Cruiserweight Champion.

Drake Maverick tells the referee that he does not want anything strange to happen in the main event.

Cedric Alexander visits Drake and he says he is happy he is winning again and was happy to beat Lio Rush.

Drake says there is a match he is looking forward to seeing.  Next week, Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander vs. Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy.

We go to commercial.

We see Drew Gulak and Jack Gallagher watching from the back and they are asked for insight about Kendrick and Tozawa.  Gallagher says he used to trust Kendrick until he teamed with Tozawa.  Gulak says if they have the gaul to step up to them again, they will tap out.

Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick vs. Fidel Bravo and Richie Slade

Kendrick starts off with a cravate and take down.  Kendrick with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Tozawa tags in and they hit a double back elbow and Tozawa with a back senton for a near fall.  Tozawa with chops and then he gets his opponent to flinch and Tozawa with a jab.  Kendrick tags in and they hit a double boot to the head and Kendrick gets a near fall.  Tozawa tags in and he connects with a kick.  The tag is made and Tozawa with a hip toss and Shining Wizard for a near fall.  Kendrick tags in and Tozawa with a kick and Kendrick with a Flatliner for a near fall.  Kendrick with a back body drop but the tag was made.

Kendrick with a leg lariat and Tozawa tags in and connects with a kick and a back heel kick and then he hits a round kick and then hits a missile drop kick.  Tozawa gets a near fall.  Kendrick with Sliced Bread #2 and Tozawa hits the back senton from the top for the three count.

Winners:  Brian Kendrick and Akira Tozawa

After the match, Kendrick and Tozawa celebrate together.

Tony Nese and Buddy Murphy walk in the back and they are asked about their match next week against Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali.  They ask if they are getting the Cruiserweight Tag Titles and they say they are joking.  Buddy says he has beaten each of them individually, but what will happen when they face them in a tag team match next week?

Next week, we will see the return of Hideo Itami.

Gran Metalik (with Lince Dorado and Kalisto) vs. TJP (with Mike Kanellis and Maria Kanellis)

We have a confrontation on the ramp but the officials and Drake Maverick separate them.  Drake tells Metalik and TJP to get in the ring and he sends everyone else to the back.

Metalik with a drop kick and plancha onto TJP.  Metalik sends TJP back into the ring and hits a springboard splash for a near fall.  TJP goes to the floor.  Metalik follows TJP up the ramp and sends him back into the ring.  Metalik misses a splash but connects with a kick and hits a spinning bulldog.  Metalik comes off the ropes and TJP catches Metalik and applies a Scorpion Death Lock.  TJP with a pescado onto Metalik.

TJP sends Metalik back into the ring and he punches Metalik.  TJP with a snap mare and slingshot senton for a near fall.  TJP goes for the mask but the referee stops him.  TJP with a suplex and he holds on for a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  TJP with a reverse chin lock.  TJP with a knee to the midsection but Metalik with an arm drag and a slingshot arm drag.  Metalik with a kick and TJP goes to the apron.  TJP with a Tiger Lungblower for a near fall.  TJP with a drop toe hold and he applies a Muta Lock.  Metalik with punches to the head to get the hold released but TJP holds on to the legs until Metalik can get to the ropes.

TJP with a forearm but Metalik with an Irish whip.  TJP with a float over into a head scissors.  Metalik with an enzuigiri when TJP goes up top.  Metalik sets for a superplex but TJP sends Metalik to the mat.  Metalik with a drop kick for a near fall.  Metalik with kicks to the chest and he goes up top for a moonsault but TJP gets his feet up.  TJP with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  TJP goes to the turnbuckles but Metalik moves.  Metalik avoids a kick and chops TJP.  Metalik with a springboard drop kick for a near fall.  Metalik gets TJP on his shoudlers but TJP rakes the eyes and sends Metalik into the ropes.  TJP with a drop kick to the back.

TJP goes to the apron and Metalik with a running rana over the top rope to the floor.  Metalik sends TJP back into the ring and Metalik with a Metalik Driver and then Metalik goes up top  and goes for the springboard elbow drop but TJP goes for an arm bar.  TJP with a knee bar but Metalik gets to the ropes to force a break.  TJP grabs Penelope but Metalik iwth a kick and Metalik with a sunset flip for the three count.

Winner:  Gran Metalik

Maria comes out and she is screaming frantically.

Mike Kanellis uses the distraction to hit Metalik, Dorado, and Kalisto with a steel chair.
