WWE RAW Results - October 29, 2018

We are live from Charlotte, North Carolina and Baron Corbin is in the ring and he has the Universal Title belt on his shoulder.

Baron says last week was one of the most emotional nights in his career. Baron says that was last week and life goes on. Personally, he wishes Roman the best in his battle, but professionally, he hopes if Roman comes back it is not to Raw. Baron says Roman made his job very difficult…

Brock Lesnar’s music plays and he comes out with Paul Heyman.

Paul stops Baron and he tells Baron to do his shtick and Paul says he will do his shtick.

Paul introduces his client. Paul says we live in historic times. Four days from now, history will be made once again when his client takes that championship back home and places it over his massive shoulders. In order to do that, Brock has to beat Braun Strowman. Paul says on Friday at Crown Jewel, Brock will beat Braun. That is not a prediction, that is a spoiler. That is a guarantee. Paul says he could not be more clairvoyant if the result was predetermined.

How often do you get to know for a fact that history is going to happen? The Super Bowl, you know that history is going to happen. The NBA Finals, The Stanley Cup, the Academy Awards, you know history is going to happen. Brock will F-5 Braun Strowman to once again become your reigning and defending Universal Champion. Paul tells Baron you’re welcome for giving everyone the inside information so you can see history unfold before your very eyes.

Braun Strowman’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Strowman marches to the ring as Lesnar stares him down. Braun takes the mic and says he’s going to become champion on Friday because Lesnar is going to get these hands. Strowman drops the mic and stares Lesnar down. Strowman pushes Corbin out of the way and stares Lesnar down again. Corbin attacks Strowman from behind but Strowman powerslams him. Lesnar laughs. Fans chant “get these hands” now. Lesnar grabs the title and poses with it as Strowman slams Corbin again. Stroman yells at Lesnar about how that’s his future. Fans chant “one more time” and Strowman delivers a third powerslam to Corbin. Strowman turns around but Lesnar sneaks up behind him. Strowman turns back around and Lesnar drops him with the F5 to a mixed reaction. Lesnar stands tall over Strowman with the title as his music hits. Lesnar and Heyman leave the ring. Strowman gets up and he’s not happy.

– The announcers talk about what happened with new RAW Tag Team Champions Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins last week. Ambrose and the WWE Intercontinental Champion will be here tonight. Also, DX and The Brothers of Destruction are here. Also, a ten-woman match with Natalya, Bayley, Sasha Banks and WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus & Lita teaming to face The Riott Squad, Alicia Fox and Mickie James.

Finn Balor vs. Bobby Lashley

We go to the ring and out comes Finn Balor to a pop. Balor stops and throws a “too sweet” taunt to Baron Corbin as he’s helped up the ramp by referees. Balor hits the ring and we go to commercial.

We are back and Lio Rush says some people call Finn Balor an ordinary man who can do extraordinary things. Lio says he thinks you are a not so extraordinary guy who got lucky last week. You did not deserve that win. It was a fluke. He talks about how Finn comes out in a black leather jacket with a false sense of confidence. Lio says the big man is going to beat him tonight.

Lashley with a double leg into the turnbuckles and then Lashley runs Finn into the turnbuckles again and follows with shoulders and a side slam. Lashley with elbows to the neck and he applies a nerve hold. Lashley with an elbow to the neck and he picks up Balor for a power slam but Balor escapes and he drop kicks Lashley to the floor. Balor with a plancha onto Lashley and we go to commercial.

We are back and Lashley is punching Balor in the ropes. Lashley with an elbow to the neck and Lashley returns to the nerve hold. Lashley with a waist lock slam and Lashley continues to work on the back. Lashley returns to the nerve hold. Balor gets to his feet but Lashley with a knee and forearm. Lashley with an elbow in the corner followed by an Irish whip but Balor gets his boots up and hits a running forearm. Balor with another flying forearm and he goes for a double leg take down but Lashley goes for a power bomb. Balor counters into a back body drop and double stomp.

Balor with a running chop into the corner. Lashley with an Irish whip and Lashley catches Balor when Finn goes for a float over. Lashley with a Dominator and he adjusts his headband and that allows Finn to kick out. Lio tells Lashley to stick to the plan. Lashley sets for a delayed vertical suplex but Balor gets to his feet and he hits Slingblade. Balor with a running drop kick that sends Lashley into the corner. Rush distracts Balor and Rush pushes Balor off the turnbuckles. Lashley runs into an enzuigiri and Rush pushes Balor off the turnbuckles.

The referee calls for the bell.

Winner by DQ: Finn Balor

After the match, fans chant “you suck” at Rush. A referee checks on Balor on the outside but Lashley comes and grabs him. Lashley drives Balor into the barrier and the apron a few times as fans boo. Rush chants his name. Lashley brings Balor back into the ring and manhandles him with a Full Nelson. Rush talks trash to Balor while Lashley holds him up. Lashley drops Balor to the mat but holds him so Rush can slap him. Lashley poses and Rush chants his name some more as the music hits.

Backstage:

We are back and Lio Rush and Bobby Lashley are in the back and they go into the training room to talk to Baron Corbin. Baron says what he did to Finn Balor was impressive. It is about time that Finn got his. Lashley says last week was a fluke. Finn is good, but he is nowhere near Lashley’s level. Baron says that Lashley is in the World Cup. Bobby asks who is he replacing. Baron says that Lashley is replacing John Cena.

– We take a look at photos of the Raw Championship match from Evolution.

– We will see Ronda Rousey against Becky Lynch at Survivor Series, in a battle of the brand’s champions.

– We see footage from after Evolution when Becky Lynch interrupted a Ronda Rousey interview. They both call each other champ a lot of times. Becky says she will be seeing Ronda soon and leaves.

Lita, Trish Stratus, Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley vs. Liv Morgan, Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan, Alicia Fox, and Mickie James (with Alexa Bliss)

Logan and Trish start things off and they lock up. Trish with a snap mare and a flying mare to Logan. Ruby blocks Stratusfaction but Trish with a head scissors take down to Logan and Ruby. Sarah backs up and tags in Liv. Trish with a Thesz Press and punches. Trish with an Irish whip and Lita tags in and hits a clothesline off Trish’s back. Lita with a head scissors and kick. Lita with a DDT to Liv and Lita goes up top but Sarah and Ruby pull Liv to safety. Bayley and Sasha with baseball slides to Sarah and Ruby followed by cross bodies off the apron onto Alicia and Mickie as we go to commercial.

We are back and Bayley with an arm bar on Fox. Sasha tags in and they send Alicia into the turnbuckles. Trish tags in and they hit a double back elbow on Alicia and hit a double elbow drop. Trish gets a near fall. Sasha tags in and rolls up Alicia for a near fall. Sasha with a snap mare and Mickie grabs Sasha’s leg to allow Fox to recover and hit a thrust kick. Alicia gets a near fall. Mickie tags in and applies a sleeper on Sasha. Mickie with a knee to the midsection and Irish whips Sasha. Sasha floats over and Mickie stops Sasha and blows a kiss to Sasha’s team.

Mickie sends Sasha into the turnbuckles and Logan tags in.Sasha with an inside cradle for a near fall but Logan with a drop kick for a near fall. Logan with a cobra clutch and back breaker as she takes Sasha to the mat. Sasha escapes but Sarah keeps Sasha from making the tag. Sarah sends Sasha into the turnbuckles and tags in Ruby. Ruby with kicks and then Alicia and Mickie choke Sasha while Ruby distracts the referee. Sasha tries to get to her corner but Ruby stops Sasha and gives Lita a forearm. Ruby mocks Sasha but misses a splash into the corner. Fox tags in and she gets a near fall with a rollup. Alicia is sent into Sasha’s corner and knocks everyone but Natalya off the apron.

Natalya tags in and Natalya with a clothesline and slingshot atomic drop. Natalya with a drop kick and discus clothesline for a near fall. Trish takes care of Logan. Trish with a handstandcanrana to Mickie. Sasha with Meteora to Mickie. Ruby and Liv attack Sasha and Trish. Lita and Bayley with Twists of Fate to Liv and Ruby. Bayley goes up top and hits an elbow drop on Ruby while LIta hits a moonsault on Liv. Alicia is held up by Lita for a Hart Attack and a near fall.

Natalya applies the Sharpshooter and Alicia taps out.

Winners: Lita, Trish Stratus, Natalya, Sasha Banks, and Bayley

– We see photos of the Battle Royal from Evolution that was won by Nia Jax.

Backstage:

Nia Jax is in the interview area. Nia is asked about her title match and when she will challenge Ronda Rousey. Nia says that she will wait until after Ronda defeats Becky Lynch. It is mentioned that Nia eliminated four people but the person who eliminated five people is brought in. Ember Moon talks about catching lightning in a bottle. Nia interrupts and points out that she won and if Ember is going to be asked any more questions than the winner of the match. Ember thanks Nia for the guidance she was given and the respect that she gave Nia. She asks Nia to respect her and challenges Nia to a match. Nia accepts the challenge.

– We see what Dean Ambrose did to Seth Rollins last week on Raw.

– We have a video package for the Brothers of Destruction versus DX match on Friday. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Elias is in the ring.

We are back and Elias is in the ring. Elias says he is the living truth and the truth will set you free. Everything this company will be will be hoisted on his shoulders. Elias says he came into Charlotte early because Ric Flair wants to spend time with Elias. Flair told Elias he was his favorite but Elias tells Ric that he is everyone’s favorite. Flair told Elias that he liked what Elias did to Baron Corbin.

We see what happened last week.

Elias says as much as it pains him to break one of his Fenders, it felt good. Elias says he was planning on singing a song to Baron, but he saw what happened to Baron earlier and he probably couldn’t make it out here. Elias says he will still perform that song and he will do it to Baron’s face.

Elias makes his way up the ramp and to the back.

The camera cuts backstage for the announcers. We see Dana Brooke stop Elias in the back. She asks him to play her a song and he says no. Elias keeps walking and knocks on Corbin’s door. Corbin yells from the other side and isn’t opening the door, no matter who it is. Elias does his usual shtick about keeping your mouth shut and silencing your cellphone. He starts playing the song outside of Corbin’s door. The song takes shots at Corbin. Corbin comes out and Elias keeps playing. He calls Corbin “Stephanie’s little b—h” as Corbin goes back inside. Jinder Mahal suddenly attacks out of nowhere and destroys Elias. Corbin comes back and says it looks like Jinder just tuned Elias up. Corbin says Elias better get to the ring for his encore because he’s in action next. We go to commercial.

Elias vs. Jinder Mahal

They lock up and Mahal backs Elias into the corner. Mahal with a waist lock but Elias with a punch and chops. Elias with a clothesline but Mahal with a belly-to-back suplex. Mahal kicks Elias in the ribs. Samir stretches Elias around the ring post while Sunil distracts the referee. Mahal with a rear chin lock. Mahal with an abdominal stretch and Mahal turns it into a waist lock. Elias with an elbow and punches but Mahal with a knee to stop Elias. Elias floats over in the corner and hits a mule kick. Elias punches Jinder in the corner and the referee warns Elias.

Mahal gets Elias on his shoulders but Elias escapes. Mahal misses a knee into the turnbuckles and Elias hits Drift Away for the three count.

Winner: Elias

After the match, Elias recovers and clutches his ribs as his music plays.

– The announcers show us a replay of the opening segment with Corbin, Strowman and Lesnar. The announcers hype Crown Jewel.

– Still to come, a special look at WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle ahead of the World Cup. Back to commercial.

– We are back and Michael Cole reminds us that John Cena is out of World Cup.

We take a look at the brackets. On the Raw side, Seth Rollins faces Bobby Lashley while Kurt Angle faces Dolph Ziggler. Rey Mysterio faces Randy Orton while The Miz faces Jeff Hardy on the Smackdown side.

– We have a video package for Kurt Angle. He says he was born to win the Olympic Gold Medal. He says it was the proudest moment of his life, but his destiny was to entertain the fans in the WWE.

Kurt says he hears the whispers in the locker room and hears about how social media is saying that Kurt is out of his mind if he thinks he will the World Cup. Was he out of his mind when he won the Royal Rumble in 2000? Was he out of his mind when he won the WWE Title in his rookie year? Was he out of his mind when he won a gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck? Maybe. Kurt says he is not coming to Crown Jewel to prove that he has one more match. He is coming to prove that he is the best in the world.

AoP vs. Chad Gable and Bobby Roode vs. The Ascension

Akam and Rezar are targeted by the other four men before the bell rings. Roode and Gable send Rezar into the ring steps and Akam is sent into the ring post by Konnor and Viktor. We go to commercial.

he match starts during commercial and Gable with a jaw breaker. Viktor pulls Roode off the apron while Konnor hits a spinebuster. Akam confronts Konnor and Gable drop kicks Konnor into Akam. Viktor tags in and he goes for a belly-to-back suplex on Gable but Gable escapes. Roode tags in and Gable with Chaos Theory accompanied by a neck breaker from Roode for the three count.

Winners: Chad Gable and Bobby Roode

After the match, Akam and Rezar attack all four men. They hit Super Collider on Roode and Gable.

– We see footage of Roman Reigns visiting child cancer patients in Dallas. We see their comments of support for Roman Reigns.

– We have a video package showing what happened when Dean Ambrose decided to put aside the emotion of winning the tag titles for Roman Reigns to attack his partner. We go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring but he only has his Intercontinental Championship belt.

Seth says what a week it has been. A roller coaster of emotions. Seth says he is feeling a lot of things. Seth talks about the love and support that people have sent to Roman. Seth says it is powerful and beautiful and he thanks everyone.

Seth points out that last week he became the Raw Tag Team Champion for the third time. Seth says he should be out here celebrating with his partner and brother, Dean Ambrose. Dean turned his back on him, on the Shield, and all of us. Seth says it makes him feel a little guilty because he has been wondering if it wasn’t his fault. Maybe what he did four years ago, Dean couldn’t forget about it. Maybe Dean lashed out and it was a wrong person, wrong time situation. Seth says he feels frustrated and confused. The only person with the answers is Dean Ambrose.

Dean is the type of guy who will not be found if he does not want to be found. Seth says he did not call or text. He knew that he would find Dean Ambrose here tonight. Seth asks Dean, as a friend and brother to tell everyone why. You can have the spotlight and tell everyone.

Dean Ambrose’s music plays and he does not come out. Seth looks around and wonders where is Dean.

Dean shows up on the concourse and Seth says you turned your back on the Shield last week and you mock them this week. Seth wants Dean to come down to the ring to give him the answer he deserves. Seth says when he put the knife in Dean’s back, he stared him in the eye to tell him why he did it. Dean tells Seth to face him like a man.

Dean makes his way down the aisle but he stops and looks around and stares at Seth.

Seth tells Dean he is a cold hearted bastard. On the most emotional night in the history of the Shield, you spat on all of us. Roman leaves to battle leukemia and you make it all about yourself. Seth says that if you want the spotlight so bad, you can have it. Seth says he is fixed on Dean and he will make Dean’s life a living hell. Maybe it isn’t a nickname, maybe you are a soulless lunatic.

Seth says if Dean wants to stay up there, he can go up there and beat an answer out of Seth. Rollins leaves the ring but Ambrose walks away. Rollins watches from ringside and fumes. Rollins returns to the ring and grabs his title as his music hits.

Backstage:

Bobby Lashley is asked about having the chance to win Crown Jewel. Lio answers for Bobby and he says the World Cup is about dominating the field of competition and adding another trophy to his collection. You name it, this man has done it. Lio asks if you think Seth has a chance to win when you look at the emotional condition he is in.

– We take a look at the brackets again.

– We have a video package for DX.

Nia Jax vs. Ember Moon

We go to the ring and out comes Nia Jax. Back to commercial.

Ember wtih forearms but Nia pushes her away. Ember with a series of kicks but Nia stays on her feet. Ember with a running back elbow into the corner. Nia stops Ember on the turnbuckels but Ember with elbows. Ember runs into a clothesline. Nia with an elbow drop for a near fall. Nia with a clothesline and bear hug. Nia tosses Ember into the corner and waits for Ember to get up but she misses a shoulder into the corner and Nia hits the ring post shoulder first.

Ember goes up top and sets for a senton onto Nia on the floor. Nia sends Ember back into the ring and… Tamina Snuka makes her way to the ring. Nia with a double sledge to Ember followed by a leg drop for the three count.

Winner: Nia Jax

After the match, Tamina enters the ring and Tamina smiles and backs away from Nia.

– The announcers hype Crown Jewel again and go over the card.

– Still to come, the RAW debut of The Lucha House Party. We go to commercial.

Lince Dorado and Kalisto (with Gran Metalik) vs. The Revival

Kalisto and Wilder start things off and Wilder runs Kalisto into the turnbuckles and mocks Kalisto. Kalisto with a forearm but Wilder with forearms and chops. Kalisto with a quebrada and drop kick. Dorado comes in and hits a suicide dive onto Dawson.

Kalisto sends Wilder back into the ring and Wilder with a hot shot and belly-to-back suplex. Dawson tags in and he hits a leg drop on Kalisto. Dawson with a suplex and elbow drop for a near fall. Dawson with more near falls.

Dawson with a Gory Special and he pulls the mask for more leverage. Kalisto with an arm drag but Dawson with an uppercut. Kalisto kicks his way out of the corner and takes care of Dawson and Wilder. Dawson knocks Dorado off the apron with a punch. Dawson with a short arm clothesline. Dawson kicks at Metalik and Kalisto with Salida Del Sol on Dawson while Dorado hits a cross body on Wilder and Kalisto gets the three count.

Winners: Kalisto and Lince Dorado

After the match, the lucha stars head to the back as their music plays. We go to replays.

– Still to come, Dolph Ziggler will address the World Cup. Back to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre come to the ring. Dolph mentions Crown Jewel and he says he has his eyes on the prize. Dolph asks Drew what is he looking forward to the most at Crown Jewel. Drew says now that they have broken the Shield, his attention will be on one match at Crown Jewel, the Universal Championship match.

Dolph says whoever wins that match will have a target on their back and a Claymore to the face. He says that Kurt should not be talking about winning Crown Jewel. Dolph says he has looked up to Kurt Angle most of his career. What he did for collegiate wrestling and the Olympics. He won a gold medal with a broken freakin’ neck. Without people like Kurt Angle, guys like Dolph Ziggler wouldn’t exist in WWE.

Dolph says he will cement his legacy by winning the World Cup. Dolph says you will get an example of what will happen at World Cup in a few minutes. Dolph says he is the best thing going now and the best thing to happen to this business. Dolph says he is the best in the World.

Dolph Ziggler (with Drew McIntyre) vs. Apollo Crews

Apollo Crews makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Ziggler with a side head lock as the match is joined in progress. Ziggler runs into a back elbow in the corner. Crews has a kick blocked and he turns it into an enzuigiri. Crews with a thrust kick and boot to the head. Crews with a flying clothesline followed by an enzuigiri for a near fall. Crews goes up top and Ziggler crotches Crews and gets a near fall. Ziggler has a super kick blocked but Crews misses a jumping round kick. Crews blocks a hesitation DDT and sends Ziggler face first into the mat.

Crews presses Ziggler over his head and drops Ziggler behind him and hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Crews goes up top again and Ziggler goes up tpo and goes for an X Factor. Crews pushes Dolph off and Dolph gets his knees up on a frog splash. Ziggler with a super kick for the three count.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

– We see a video from Undertaker and Kane as we go to commercial.

In the Arena:

We are back and Kane’s music plays. He makes his way to the stage. He is joined by the Undertaker.

Undertaker says it’s not easy to heed his call. To say goodbye. To reach the end. When the reaper calls, no matter how hard you fight, it’s your time to go. In the distance, they can hear their names being whispered. Then it got louder and the whisper has become a deadening cry. Undertaker says at Crown Jewel, the Brothers of Destruction will take the beaten, battered souls of Degeneration X for the first time and for the last time to the fiery gates of hell. It won’t be swift, it will be slow, agonizing pain. It will not be the end of an era, it will be the end of your error.

Kane says that is this Friday. Tonight, Triple H and Shawn Michaels, you are being summoned to this ring right now.

Taker says so they can take their souls for eternity so you cannot REST… IN… PEACE…

DX’s music interrupts and they make their way to the stage but Shawn Michaels does not come out with Hunter. Kane makes his way up the ramp but Shawn Michaels appears behind Taker and hits Sweet Chin Music. Shawn gets out of the ring before Kane can get to him.

Hunter and Shawn celebrate, but… Undertaker sits up!

DX changes their attitudes as they look on at the ring, looking a little worried now. Taker’s music hits as he stands tall with Kane in the ring. Taker cuts his own throat and RAW goes off the air.
