As noted, WWE has removed any mention of Saudi Arabia from their website, social media, and they even removed the ticket sales option for the show.
The Daily Beast published an article today titled “Trump’s WWE Buddies Are Deeply In Bed With Saudi Regime.”
In the article, the author noted that WWE could simply extend their UK tour in early November and host Crown Jewel in Manchester on November 4th. It was noted that the venue doesn’t have an event scheduled on that day either.
“Should WWE cancel its event in Jeddah, it’s possible they could reschedule the pay-per-view card for two days later on Sunday, November 4 in Manchester, England. The company is already scheduled to tape television in the Manchester Arena on following Monday and Tuesday. According to the venue’s website, the building is open on Sunday to make it a three-day run in Manchester. Doing so would allow WWE to put a positive spin on the news, giving the avid United Kingdom fan base its first pay-per-view event since 1992.”
Triple H has a big announcement for the audience at today’s NXT UK television tapings, so only time will tell what he ends up breaking at the show. After all, the United Kingdom audience would greatly approve of having their first pay-per-view in 26 years. It would also make sense for Crown Jewel to take place in England as well because their Queen wears a crown too.
