In the Arena:

Back from the break and out comes Triple H to a big pop.

Hunter says this has been quite a weekend. NXT blew the roof off this building on Saturday. Last night. SummerSlam took it to another level. Hunter says he was on the edge of his seat for the whole thing because he is a fan. Hunter says he loves this and he will make sure that this is here for everyone until the day he dies. Weekends like this give him a different feeling. They make him have that itch and want to tape back up and lace up the boots and be The Game again.

Hunter says that is why when Vince called him and he says he finished up the deal in Australia and wanted him to wrestle there, Hunter said hell yeah. In front of 80,000 people. Hell yeah. Vince told him that he would like for Hunter to face The Undertaker. Hunter said hell no, but for a different reason. For all of the great things that he had been lucky enough to have, one stands out head and shoulders above the others. It was at the end of the Hell in a Cell match with the Undertaker and him, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels stood on the ramp at the end of the night.

Hunter says that moment is about as real as it gets in this business. It was a moment of mutual respect that none of them will forget. Hunter says that moment changed them in a way they didn’t expect. They knew it was the end of an era. It did something to them inside where right after this happened, Shawn Michaels was gone. The streak would be dead. The Undertaker would put his hat and gloves in the center of the ring and disappear. Hunter put his suit on and he would leave. It would all be over.

The era had ended for the three of them. The sound was gone. The feeling was gone. The goosebumps were gone. It was the end of an era. Without sounding like a bitter veteran, their era was something special.

For the same respect and reason he said no, he called Vince back and told him that he is in. He says he will take off this suit, he will tape back up, and he will lace up his boots and be The Game again… if the Undertaker will pick up that hat, put on those gloves, and be the Phenom one more time. On October 6th, Melbourne, Australia, the world will be watching and the sound will be back. The feeling will be back. The goosebumps will be back because The Era is back.
