WWE 205 Live Results - August 28, 2018

We start off with Drake Maverick talking about last week’s 205 Live.  Akira Tozawa will face Brian Kendrick after last week’s attack.  We will see Kalisto face Buddy Murphy tonight.

We are in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and your announcers are Vic Joseph, Nigel McGuinness, and Percy Watson.

Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick come out.

Brian Kendrick says there is one thing he cannot stand.  Jack Gallagher asks if it is this second rate dump of a Commonwealth city.  Brian says Toronto is the pits.  Brian says he was talking about people who don’t know their place.  Jack mentions Akira Tozawa.  Last week’s beat down wasn’t personal, it was business.  You could have taken your lumps and walked away but you went to Drake Maverick for retribution.  All you will get tonight is more pain and more suffering.

Akira Tozawa vs. Brian Kendrick (with Jack Gallagher)

The bell rings and Kendrick goes to the floor to get into Tozawa’s head.  Tozawa gets Gallagher to flinch and he connects with a jab to Kendrick and then one to Gallagher.  Kendrick with a sunset flip but Tozawa rolls through and kicks Kendrick and hits a back senton for a near fall.  Tozawa with kicks to Kendrick in the corner.  Tozawa with more kicks.  Tozawa with an Irish whip and Tozawa is sent to the floor.  Tozawa focuses on Gallagher on the floor and Kendrick knocks Tozawa off the apron.

Kendrick goes to the floor.  Kendrick sends Tozawa into the announce table and then they return to the ring.  Kendrick kicks Tozawa in the midsection.  Kendrick with a kick and a butterfly suplex for a near fall.  Kendrick with crossfaces to Tozawa and then he applies an arm bar and chin lock.  Kendrick goes for the Captain’s Hook but Tozawa gets to the ropes.  Kendrick releases the hold.  Tozawa with a rana and a Shining Wizard.  Tozawa goes to the turnbuckles but Kendrick rolls to the floor but Tozawa with the suicide dive head butt.  They return to the ring and Gallagher tries to stop Tozawa.

Tozawa with a kick and then he leaps over Kendrick.  Tozawa trips Kendrick and wrings the leg into the ring post.  Tozawa goes for an atomic drop to the injured leg and hits a belly-to-back suplex.  Tozawa kicks Kendrick and then Tozawa with a drop kick to the leg in the ropes.  Tozawa with a second drop kick to the leg.  Tozawa hits a third drop kick to the leg.  Tozawa goes up top and hits a missile drop kick.  Tozawa with a dragon screw leg whip followed by a jumping round kick.  Tozawa goes up top and hits the back senton for the three count.

Winner:  Akira Tozawa

We take a look the match between Tony Nese and Kalisto from three weeks ago.  We take a look at the Tornado Tag Match from last week.

We go to the interview area with Buddy Murphy and Tony Nese.  They are asked about Buddy’s match against Kalisto.  Buddy says he came to 205 Live to become the champion.  Kalisto cheated them last week and it opened their eyes.  Buddy says he will send a message to the entire 205 Live roster and they are sick of being pushed around.

We go to commercial.

We get comments from Hideo Itami about hurting Mustafa Ali and he shows no sympathy and he is sad he did not hurt him more.

Hideo Itami vs. MIchael Blaise

Itami with a running kick to the head.  He sends Blaise into the turnbuckles and connects with an uppercut and chop.  Blaise with forearms but Itami with a slap.  Itami with a snap mare and kick to the back.  Blaise with a series of kicks but Itami with a clothesline.  Itami with kicks to the back.  Itami with a Falcon Arrow but he pulls up Blaise before the three count.  Itami with a snap mare facebuster but he pulls Blaise up at two.  Itami sends Blaise into the corner and Itami with a hesitation drop kick.  Itami with a second hestitation drop kick.  Itami sets for a third one but . . .

Mustafa Ali’s music plays and he appears on the stage.  Ali makes his way to the ring and Itami goes to the floor.  Itami goes into the crowd while Ali wants Itami to fight.  Ali calls Itami a coward.

No Contest

We go to footage from last week when Drew Gulak demanded another title match against Cedric Alexander.

Cedric Alexander says that Drew Gulak sunk to a new level.  He attacked two men so he could complain about losing.  When Cedric came out, you walked away.  You are a spineless hypocrite.  Cedric says he will give Drew one chance to make it right.  He will call Drew out and finish what they started.

We see the Lucha House Party in the back to get Kalisto ready for his match against Buddy Murphy.

We go to commercial.

Buddy Murphy (with Tony Nese) vs. Kalisto (with Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado)

Murphy with a waist lock take down.  Kalisto with a waist lock and Murphy with a standing switch and take down.  Buddy sends Kalisto into the corner but Kalisto with a cartwheel out of the corner.  They go to a Greco Roman knuckle lock but Murphy with a kick and he has the advantage.  Kalisto gets back to an even base but Murphy with a leg trip and he gets a near fall.  Murphy does it two more times and he gets more near falls.  Kalisto with a bridge and then they go to the ropes and Kalisto with a springboard Frankensteiner to send Murphy to the floor.

Kalisto with an enzuigiri to knock Murphy off the apron.  Kalisto bounces off the ropes when Nese gets in front of Murphy.  Kalisto flips over the referee and hits Murphy and Nese with a plancha.  Nese gets in the ring and so do Dorado and Metalik.  The referee tells everyone besides Kalisto and Murphy to get out of the ring.  Murphy with a forearm to Kalisto and then he sends Kalisto into the turnbuckles.  Murphy with a chop.  Kalisto goes for a head scissors but Murphy blocks it.  Kalisto with a rana to send Murphy over the top rope to the floor.  Kalisto with a running kick on the apron.  Murphy catches Kalisto coming off the apron and hits a suplex onto the floor.

The referee sends Metalik and Dorado to the back after Murphy pushes Lince down.  Murphy sends Kalisto back into the ring.  Murphy with a kick to the back.  Murphy sets for a kick to teh back but he misses.  Kalisto with an elbow and a sleeper but Murphy backs into the corner to escape the hold.  Kalisto returns to the sleeper.  Murphy with a snap mare and knee to the head for a near fall.  Kalisto sends Murphy to the floor and Kalisto kicks Murphy.  Nese trips Kalisto and Murphy with a clothesline.

The referee sends Nese to the back.  Kalisto kicks Murphy from the apron and then hits an enzuigiri.  Kalisto with a springboard seated splash and a springboard corkscrew splash.  Kalisto with kicks and a Listo Kick attempt but Murphy holds on to the leg and catapults Kalisto into the turnbuckles but Kalisto lands on the turnbuckles.  Kalisto with a reverse rana and a spike rana for a near fall.

Kalisto sets for Salida Del Sol but Murphy lawn darts Kalisto into the turnbuckles.  Kalisto with a super kick and he falls onto Murphy for a near fall.  They both go to the apron and Murphy tosses Kalisto into the announce table.  Murphy picks up Kalisto and slams his head into the announce table and then he sends Kalisto into the ringside barrier.  The referee makes his count while Murphy continues to send Kalisto into the ringside barrier and Eatonville.  Murphy breaks up the count and then Kalisto goes off the ringside barrier but Murphy with a knee.

Murphy returns to the ring and Kalisto tells Murphy to come after him.  Murphy goes back to the floor and Kalisto kicks Murphy into Eatonville.   Kalisto gets into the ring and Murphy struggles to get back into the ring but he makes it.  Kalisto with a spike rana as Murphy comes back into the ring and Murphy kicks out.  Kalisto goes to the apron and Murphy catches Kalisto and hits a power bomb and a sit out power bomb for a near fall. 

Murphy sets for Murphy’s Law but Kalisto with a rollup for a near fall.  Kalisto with a Listo Kick but Murphy with a running knee and Murphy’s Law for the three count.

Winner:  Buddy Murphy
