– As noted, WWE has been working on negotiating at deal with Mysterio for several months now. One of the major holdups were the number of dates Mysterio wanted to work. WWE apparently wants Mysterio full-time, while Mysterio only wants to work a certain number of dates.
While answering questions on the latest installment of PWInsider Elite Audio, Mike Johnson said that Mysterio should be back in WWE within the next month.
“I don’t know if it’s part-time or full-time but within the next month or so Rey Mysterio will indeed be back in WWE.”
– Mike Johson also reported that Kurt Angle has actually been training for a return match and indicated that’s why he may have been removed as the General Manager of the show.
“Unless something has changed in the last 48 hours or so, Kurt Angle had been training for another return match. So it could be that this is the beginning of that storyline to bring him back to the wrestling ring. So either to move him temporarily from the General Manager or remove him completely from the General Manager and have him wrestle every now and again.”
